Is GSC data (branded clicks + impressions) a good indicator for how well your PR activity has performed for the year?

Strange: page no longer present in SERPS and I'm not sure why
I indexed a new page last week and it ranked 1st
The page is still live, still registering sessions in analytics, registering activity in search console
Why is it no longer present for the keyword in ranked first for on Friday?

When making content pages to a specific page; should you index it straight away in GSC or let Google crawl it naturally?

RE: With generic product like screws, for example what is best practice when writing descriptions? It's tough writing unique content for something when the only difference is lengths
Hello Linda,
Thank you for your help. This was great advice!

RE: Does Google want contact numbers in the meta description?!
Linda, EGOL - thanks for your help

Does Google want contact numbers in the meta description?!
Reading up it seems like there's complete free reign to enter what you want in the meta description and they are not considered a direct ranking signal
However I have added contact numbers to the meta descriptions for around 20 reasonably high ranking pages for my company and it seems to have had a negative effect (taken screen grabs and previous rankings)
More strangely when you 'inspect' the page the meta description features the desired number yet when you find the page in the serps the meta description just does not feature the number (page has been cached and the description does not carry on)
I'm wondering whether such direct changes are seen as spam and therefore negative to the page?

302 query - can someone help
If I were to put 302s on several reasonably ranked landing pages to drive more traffic/conversions for a period of one week to a particular page, would the pages with 302s drop from their positions in the SERPS? And is this a bad idea? I want to try and drive some conversions over the next month for a particular page…
Thanks for your help!

RE: Can I add more then 3 competitors do my SEO moz pro account?
100% agree.
If we could track more than just three that would be a GREAT improvement.

Should you use robots.txt for pages within your site which do not have high quality content or are not contributing a great deal so when Google crawls your site the best performing content has a higher chance of being indexed?
I'm really not sure what is best practice for this query?

Significant drop in web rankings
We have two websites and last week we had a significant drop in search engine rankings. Some of these search rankings we have been top 3 for the past 5 years and now we are not in the top 20.
Last weekend we changed our hosting provider and IP addresses for the first time in over 7 years.
Now is there a way we could work out if we have been hit by the latest Penguin update or if the change in hosting / IP has caused these drop in rankings?
I would appreciate any thought or ideas at all.
