Google is currently ranking my category page instead of our homepage for our key term and we would rather have our homepage rank for the term.  Would it be a bad idea to rel="canonical" our category page to our homepage?  Our homepage is optimized to rank for the keyword and has more PR than our category page.  However, I don't really know if this will have negative repercussions. I have a site and we rank very competitively on Google, but we would like to increase our exposure on Bing and Yahoo.  I was wondering if anybody might have some tips or pointers for increasing your ranking on Bing.  Also, if anybody knows of any Bing ranking guides or top ranking factors for Bing that would be very useful too. So, I have about 100 different blogs that I am starting to organize into a list of potential guest blog opportunities.  I wanted to see how many subscribers each blog had to their site to better help identify the top influential blogs.  The only way I know how to do this is to search for the site inside of Google reader.  I was wondering if anybody knows of a tool or knows a way to scrape the blog subscriber count from Google docs, or something more scalable. Hi, I have a low PR site (PR 1) that I am starting to work on.  Ingeneral when you make changes to my site how long would it take Google to recognize and index those changes? The reason I am wondering is because the site I am working on had a lot of duplicate content (around 700 pages), I got rid of it all, but I wasn't sure how long it would take Google to spider all these pages and re-index them since the site is low PR.
