RE: The New Link Explorer (which will replace Open Site Explorer) is Now in Beta
Awesome update. I find the new Link Explorer much easier to use than the OSE. I also LOVE the fact that it updates daily. It helps when you can see your progress more than once every month or two. I do feel like I notice the difference in speed as well, I am able to quickly navigate through the tool and see the data I need to see.
I'm happy to see this improvement and look forward to what the future of LE holds!

RE: How Can I Rank My Website Quickly and get traffic 20k per months
I don't think there is any quick response that you can get from this community. Even more so if you are just looking for lists of .edu and .gov places to drop your link. It takes lots of planning and implementing link strategies. No one can just tell you how to rank your website, otherwise they have done all of the work for you.
If you are serious about learning SEO and ranking your website, check out the MozBlog or the Learning SEO area of this site. You have to put in the work and take the time to learn your craft before you will see success. Best of luck to you mate!

RE: International Websites - Hosting, Domain Names, & Configuration
I would choose to do it with subfolders and not different TLDs for each country. I found a pretty interesting post found below that can add some perspective:
https://moz.com/community/q/international-seo-domains-or-folders
His response is very thorough and answers your question much better than I ever could.

RE: Link Building for Charities?
I would start by checking the links of similar charities. That way you can see how they are building links and what is working for them. Then I would move to the Fresh Web Explorer. There you can search mentions of different phrases that have to do with your topic that the charity promotes. You can then build up your network and start reaching out/link building.
You should also check out the blog. Plenty of posts there about link building and advanced techniques. You can even go back to the YouMoz Blog and see techniques and information from back in the day. They are older posts, but still valuable information none the less.

RE: What's the weirdest way you've gotten a link?
I remember when I first started link building, I tried a ton of techniques. Then one day I just went to one of the top 10 websites on Google for a similar term to what I was trying to rank for. But not so similar that we would be considered "competition". I literally just asked him for a link back to my site, and he added it that day. I thought it was the weirdest thing ever, I guess some people are just extremely nice, or don't know how valuable the link they gave was.

RE: Does google see the keyword "e cig" and "e-cig" as the same word? on MOZ it shows that they have a totally different amount of search quarries.
I would look at the research before I do anything. Try looking them both up on Google and comparing what you get. For example, when I look up "e cig" vs. "e-cig", I get different results. Some of them are the same, but I also see unique sites in one against the other.
The search volume is where you should focus as well. Make sure that both receive significant search volume that is worth your time. If nobody is searching one variation, there is no point in optimizing for it. Best of luck to you mate!

RE: Redirect issue
It is definitely a Wordpress issue. Take a look at your functions.php file for your theme. You can add some code to turn off this feature.
If you have this feature on, which it usually is by default, it will redirect to the closest matching URL. Like so:
https://www.example.com/contact
will redirect to
https://www.example.com/contact-us (the actual page URL)
remove_filter('template_redirect', 'redirect_canonical'); is the code you need to add to the functions.php. But make sure you read up on it before disabling it, as it does have some benefits.

RE: Is this owned by moz?
Looks like a spam website to me! You should contact Moz about this, as I can't imagine it is owned by them. It looks more like copyright infringement. Also, when you lookup who owns the domain it is completely lacking of information. Maybe Moz can do a DMCA take-down or contact them.
Also, when you click any of the links on the website, you get redirected right back to the homepage. When I see this it just looks like a link farm for spam links, along with Moz's design to help people think it's a trustworthy website.
