To track traffic to a specific page on a website, you can use web analytics tools like Google Analytics. First, ensure that your website has Google Analytics installed. Then, navigate to the "Behavior" section and select "Site Content" and "All Pages." RE: How Long Do The Link Tracking Lists Take To Update?
@Smarter_Finances said in How Long Do The Link Tracking Lists Take To Update?:
How long do the link tracking lists take to update? It's been over a week and each is still showing a red cross.
The reason I created it was because I migrated to a new domain name and Moz is still showing the backlinks on the old property and not the new (the domain swap happened in December 2020). I can see that Ahrefs has picked up all of the links - Both new and redirected - but Moz has not. When will this be reflected in Moz as it has already been over three months?
Is there a reason for the above questions? The link tracking lists typically update within a few days to a week, but it seems they're taking longer in your case. This delay could be due to various factors such as technical issues or the complexity of the migration process. It's concerning that Moz hasn't reflected the domain swap from December 2020 yet, especially when Ahrefs has picked up the changes. It's worth contacting Moz support for clarification and assistance in resolving this discrepancy.

What is the best tactic to figure out their ranking, determine progress internally, and also provide movement reports when they are past the five-page limit? One effective tactic is to utilize SEO tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs to track keyword rankings for your clients. These tools provide insights into current rankings and allow you to monitor progress over time. Additionally, you can set up Google Analytics to track organic traffic and conversions, providing a comprehensive view of SEO performance. To address rankings beyond page five, focus on improving key metrics such as click-through rates, organic traffic, and conversions, rather than obsessing over specific rankings. Regularly communicate progress to clients through detailed reports outlining improvements and actionable insights.

RE: What is the difference between 301 redirects and backlinks?
A 301 redirect is a method used to permanently redirect one URL to another, often utilized during website migrations or when a page is no longer active. Backlinks, on the other hand, are incoming links from other websites to a specific webpage, which can influence a site's search engine ranking and authority. While both serve to redirect traffic, they operate in distinct ways: 301 redirects manage URL redirection, while backlinks contribute to a site's off-page SEO efforts by enhancing its credibility and visibility.
