RE: How to check the DA history?
@ZeonAley Hi, Unfortunately checking the historical DA wouldn't work as the algorithm for it has been reviewed and changed over time. The results wouldn't be very helpful. however,
Using the Link explorer you can check around the last 12months.

I hope that helps to answer your question.

RE: how can i get up my da?
@PeterHane Create a good offsite link campaign to compliment your onsite seo.
Do your research. If the domain linking to you has a significantly lower DA than you it can bring you down if there are too many links of this type. What you need are a few powerful High DA links with some medium DA links thrown in.
.gov and .edu links are fairly powerful.
Following this I've managed to take my site from DA20 to DA46 over a 12 month period.
If you create decent content with articles people want to link to you'll find this easy.
I hope than helps.

RE: Vertical bar pipe separation in content
I can't give you a definitive answer but I did some testing a couple of months ago on this very subject. So I can share my experience.
I played with mysite Title using , - | as separation within the title using exactly the same text and page and watched the fluctuation over 2 weeks each. The Pipe separation was head and shouders above the rest. This is now what I use.

RE: H1 tag positioning impact
You generally want to have the
tag at the top of the page, above the content paragraph. **Keep it close in relation to the content that is below it also for correlation, **Personally, I'd have it below the banner for that context and keeping a better user experience. Typically, you don't place an
inside the HEADER of the page, but rather the of the site. The Title tag would be in the header.
As long as there is only one H1 tag it doesn't really matter where it is as you are calling it the most important title. Use H2-4 for all the other headings on the page and it will be read that way. As long as the H1 is concise and to the point relating to the page in question above or below makes no difference.
Bruce Clay has a decent view on this and is usually pretty accurate on such things.

RE: Is it possible to find every reference to my company name across the internet?
Absolutely, Meghan hit the nail on the head with her response. Fresh web explorer will find what is important at the very least.

RE: Moz's new Link Explorer, including our revamped index and DA/PA scores is now open to everyone!
Love the new graphic, far easier to follow.
It would be nice to click through from the graphic to a breakdown of competitors stats too.

RE: If My site has 20 DA will it be good to get backlinks from a very low DA 3 site for free
As a rule of thumb yes but......
one or two low DA links to your domain won't hurt but a lot of low DA backlinks sends a signal that you are trying to game the system and your serp will suffer as a result.
Moz found during one of its studies that a backlink from a high domain authority page on a low domain authority website provides more value than a backlink from the opposite.
If you are building backlinks it is best to aim for higher DA sites as they will help more than hurt.
I hope that helps

RE: Does changing template for a wordpress site affect SEO
I second that, I've a site based on a multi-purpose theme. Now years down the line with my understanding of SEO I'm aware of the problems but to change it now with hundreds of pages designed with a visual builder I'm stuck with it. Swapping to a lighter theme is a major undertaking.

I'm a photographer based on the south coast of england. The industry I am in is technically proficient causing a very competitive set of keywords. This has made me study webdesign and SEO to a high standard. I understand enough to guide people through their own SEO campaign now.
