Moz will remove the "nofollow" from your profile and first custom URL once you accrue 200 mozPoints, presumably because you have shown yourself to be a trusted contributor.

The question remains however as to how much this is worth in Google's eyes. Since I work for a financial publishing company those links probably are not as useful as they might be to someone who works for an SEO company, since they are not directly relevant.

Guest posting and commenting used to be big link-building strategies, but not so much anymore.

As a general rule, a link that anyone can get by just placing one there is unlikely to give SEO benefit. And as mcncll said, most of those types of links are nofollow, anyway.

The benefit of the type of the type of link you are talking about is exposure and possible referral traffic. (Assuming the answer that is posted is a good one, of course.)

Just curious--did you end up responding to the reviews, and if you did did you get any feedback from the original reviewers?

Google uses meta descriptions as suggestions and then shows whatever it thinks is most useful to the searcher.

So if Google is not showing the phone numbers, it's because Google doesn't think they best answer the intent of the search, not because they are "spam".

And I agree with EGOL, don't give away all your information in the SERPs, get people to click for it.

You'd think there would be a straightforward answer out there. I did find this thread that says that they do, with some disagreement. I have gotten notifications from Google forums long after I have posted something, so I'd tend to think the answer is yes.

I agree with Bernadette, internal links should open in the same window. [This is despite the fact I personally like to open things in new tabs, or even better, new windows.]

It is the default and what people expect and they also have the option to open in a new tab/window if they prefer.

There are many navigation/UX conventions across the Internet and they help us know what to do when we go to a new place. Yes, there are sometimes reasons to go against convention, but they should be thought out.

If your internal links always open in new tabs and your website has interesting content that someone is browsing through, things can get messy pretty quickly...

If they are garbage links, why are you redirecting them? Let them 404. Having not found pages does not lead to penalties, in and of itself.

How awful! Has your client gone in and claimed their own listing? Even if they did before, they should probably do it again in light of this situation.

There is nothing wrong with using commas in title tags.

The issue is, will these titles look appealing to searchers when they see them on the results page.

If yes, they are good titles. If no, they need fixing.

The title tag is what Google often shows in the search results. And external websites, especially social, often use title tags as anchor text for links. So even though you don't see it at the top of the page in mobile, it is an important element.

Canonicalizing http://sub.test.com to http://www.test.com will tell Google that those two individual pages are the same and it should only index http://www.test.com--it won't affect other pages on the subdomain.

If you only have a few subdomain pages that are duplicates of root domain pages, you can just use canonicals to indicate which pages you want indexed. You won't need to noindex the duplicate ones--they will fall out of Google's index naturally once Google sees which are the preferred, canonical ones.
