I have a content-rich page about one of my offerings. Will Google knock down the ranking if I include a contact me reply form on the page vs including a link to a standalone reply page? My concern is that including the form will cause Google to downgrade the page as being "too commercial".

Nuisance visitors to non active page. What's going on?
Hi Guys, for the past several months, I get high volume of searches on a non-existing page /h/9249823.html. These searches come from all over the world from different domains and have a zero session duration. They are automatically forwarded to my home page. The source re Google Analytics is 12-reasons-for-seo.com. The full referrer is 12.reasons-for-seo.com/seo2php. Any idea what is provoking this activity? Any chance it's screwing with my legitimate search results or rankings?

I see your point, but I haven't seen a lot of viral activity when I've guest authored on good sites in the past.
So maybe I'll self-publish and try to promote links. If I don't get any links I can always take the article down and submit it.
Any additional thoughts?

Which option is better for SEO purposes:
1. Author article for trade journal in return for link back to my home page.
2. Post article on my site and solicit links from multiple sites.
Assume links all have moderate authority.

If my website blog consists of curated links and content synopsis with my value added notations, do I run the risk of simply exporting my visitors to another site? Won't I wind up adding rank to the sites I link to at my expense?

We currently add original content to our website every couple of months in the form of long form articles we have guest authored for other reputable sites.
We also maintain a LinkedIn company site with weekly updates in the form of annotated newsworthy re-postings.
We are thinking of duplicating our LinkedIn update feed on our website as a blog in order to build more traffic and improve SEO. Hopefully the additional frequency of site updates will also help.
Again, this additional content will be largely re purposed, with the exception of our value-added annotations.
Good idea? Waste of time? Suggested tweaks?

Am I better off with ten links from one site or one link from ten sites?
I am writing a series of linked-back articles for a highly-ranked web publisher, but wonder if I'd be better off sharing the articles across different sites. My goal is to grow our domain authority and SEO rankings.

Any advantage spreading linked-back articles vs concentrating them?
I have had good luck getting a reputable ezine in my field to publish my articles, and they always link back to my site. Would I do better SEO-wise to spread my articles among several different ezines?
