Domain Name Value?
Hi,
I am going to start a new website
What I want to know is:
www. keyword1 and keyword2 . com
If I buy
www. keyword1and . com
And I put /keyword2 will this get any value?
Or is it better to find a shorter more branded domain name.. rather than chasing for value from Google.

You can make with js a expand link or read more....
That will be ok... Search engines will see the entire text where as users will have to click to see the entire text...

RE: Production and Priority Issue for SEO and Website Usability
I would go this way
#2
#3
#1 (TBD - optimising the conversion rate can be due from various factors so cart may be ok...)
#11
#12 #13#7 (this can cause a temporary drop in rankings as if you redirect existing urls to new short urls
P.S. If you can show us your website I could give you more advice upon what I will see.

RE: Conversion Rate Optimisation - advice before seeking out a specialist
In Google Analytics > Standard Reporting you have on the left the tab Audience and in it you have Visitors Flow....
Click on that
Just saw your website.... To start You might consider making your text more readable (change color or bg or both) as I didn't bother reading anything

RE: Landing Page - is this one a good landing page?
It's not about being a designer is about keeping a balance.
Look at other websites (good websites) and understand what they make in terms of layout / color / text
No need to be a graphic genius to make your website pleasant.
I spent 5 min on html css for you ... hope it helps

RE: My Blog pages are out ranking my main website
I suggest that you make the header the same in the main domain and in the blog... So the logo can always link to your home page (shop) and the button Garden Design Blog will always get you on the blog main page. I know it's a bit of work but that's how i see it proper for not confusing search engines or your clients...
Hope this helps

RE: H1 problem on my site not sure how to solve it
<h1 class="logo">
<a href="/index.php" title="">a>
h1><h1 style="text-align: center;"> <span style="font-size: 8pt; color: #ffffff;"> In2town Lifestyle Magazinespan> h1>
So you have the logo wrapped in h1

RE: Website review needed
id="title"><a <span="">href</a><a <span="">="</a>http://www.oluadeonline.com/" title="">
Wrong - You have no text
After H1 you should have a piece of content and not links one after another.
if you are targeting make money online you have no content to actually make your page valuable to the client.
Having a title won't get you far on google
Also all those ads will drag you down.
Hope it helps.

RE: Should I delete a page that gets search traffic, that I don't care about?
Maybe consider 301 redirect to a similar page on your website (similar content)

RE: SEO Test: Domain Hyphenation [Update]
Maybe one of the factors why the hyphenated one ranks better is that it was indexed 1st and then the non-hyphenated one was indexed after.
Having 1 line of text that only the domain name is different could be considered duplicate content by Google thus the rankings.

RE: What have your experiences with rankings after a redesign?
I think it depends on what the redesign consists in. For example a competitor of one of my clients has just redesigned their site but the difference is the old site had more relevancy to a specific keyword where as now the redesign is a general page that doesn't have as much relevancy to the specific keyword.
The result was a drop in rankings. So if you're a simple site with little content or poor structure it's a good thing to redesign... if it's the other way around where you focus more on design and not on content (SEO) i think you will have a drop in rankings

RE: Changing page titles and google penalties?

RE: Where to find high quality (affordable) web designers?
I think it's about what you want to get and for how much.
It all starts from there.
For example:
budged : 1k - for a 8-10 page website with no complex features you should be able to find good designers.
budged : 300 - for a 8-10 page website with no complex features you should be able to find poor designers that could still do the job.
It's also about luck to find a quality and reliable designer. (depends on background, location, etc)
Hope it helps.
