Thank you Thank you Moz People!! I have a successful vacation rental company that has terrible seo but getting better.  When I first ran Moz crawler and page grader, I had 35,000 errors and all f's....  tons of problem with duplicate page content and titles because not being consistent with page names... mainly capitalization and also rel canonical errors... with that said,  I have now maybe 2 or 3 errors from time to time, but I fix every other day. Problem Maybe My site map shows in Google Webmaster submitted 1155
1541 indexed But google crawl shows 23,000 pages probably because of duplicate errors or possibly database driven url parameters... How bad is this and how do I get this to be accurate,  I have seen google remove tool but I do not think this is right? 2)  I have hired a full time content writer and I hope this works My site in google was just domain.com but I had put a 301 in to www.domain.com becauses www. had a page authority where the domain.com did not.   But in webmasters I had domain.com just listed. So I changed that to www.domain.com (as preferred domain name) and ask for the first  time to crawl.   www.domain.com .   Anybody see any problems with this? THank you MOZ people,  Nick

I just moved my blog from a wordpress hosted solution to my owner server and am really hopeful that all the SEO ready wordpress pages plus I downloaded Yoast SEO will move my site.   I started with 9000 pages being moz indexed with tons of errors eyerywhere,  I have almost fixed everything getting ready to do a google index.     One question. I have a directory of businesses and events for my local mountain community that is home grown with about 200 pages.   see here:  http://www.destinationbigbear.com/directory/bigbeardirectory.aspx  which has a PA of 21 which is the same as my DA 21  (I know terrible)... Should I migrate these 200 pages with images to wordpress to take advantage of all the nice SEO possibilities?   I have staff and it would probably take about $600 bucks to do it.   I would only have to put about ten  301's such as http://www.destinationbigbear.com/directory/contentcat.aspx?ParentID=7   would be http://www.destinationbigbear.com/big-bear-restaurants/ Thank you again to all,  I am hopeful I can answer some questions in the future for people... How do I stop the Moz crawler from creating false duplicate content errors.   I have yet to submit my website to google crawler because I am waiting to fix all my site optimization issues. Example:   contactus.aspx?propid=200,  contactus.aspx?propid=201....    these are the same pages but with some old url parameters stuck on them.   How do I get Moz and Google not to consider these duplicates.  I have looked at http://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content with respect to Rel="canonical" and I think I am just confused. I have spent so much time investigating what it takes to move my domain up the ladder.   I have so far determined good quality optimized website and I am almost done with that. MOZ Rules! If I look at Open Site Explorer at my competitors it gives me some of their backlinks...  Some people say backlinks are not as important anymore.    But If I am in a Vacation Rental business and I can get other websites/blogs with high PA to post some good content that I write to link back to my website this should raise my SEO?  Correct. I am fortunate that online media assets always seem to have articles such as "The best destinations this Fall",   "Getting away for a long weekend",  etc...... In the past I have been contacted by writers/bloggers that wanted to trade free stays at my homes for an article.... back then I had no idea what a PA was,  but now I can at least point MOZ at their website to see if it is worth it. I was also thinking about hiring somebody to do this.....My question is two part... Am I on the right track about building good quality backlinks from high PA with truly good content.  I have been writing articles now for 30 days along with this other stuff and have probably 10 unique pieces plus another 20 in our recent blog... When SEO companies call me weekly they all say "we can get you to the top 3 placements in 60 days or other say 3 to 5 months or others say 6 to 7 months."  Being a business person I ask,   "How do you do it? and what tools do you use?"   I never get a straight answer,  because they say it is trade secrets..... or they say they use internal tools.... This kills me! I do not want to do this myself,  be an SEO company I just want to know the process a vendor will use to raise my SEO.    If they were to say I have contacts at these 5 major websites and I am going to get your content listed on these websites...  I would say great.    4 years ago I paid a company monthly for a year who moved my domain name from 70 to 35 but that happened in the first 3 months and then nothing.   And he would never tell me what they were doing...  plus now I realize my site optimization was crap.   Out of 10 keyword phrases,  the highest I got right now is 32 and a new guy on the block is less than 10 and has less content and backlinks...   I wonder once my site optimization is done will that really really help me. Is it too much for a SEO to tell me specifics!    I have purchased MOZ,  Authority Labs, Buzz Stream, SEO tracker,  I am committed to this... I have 15,000 facebook page likes and 80 you tube videos, pinterest and twitter too... M

First of all:
I am excited about using all the MOZ tools!   I just got back my webcrawl and have found
a lot of issues that I am working on. I am a Vacation Rental Property Manager with 150 properties, all different. 90% of my pages have the same keywords and descriptions and a lot of same page titles
too.  I can change all of these by adding a few fields in my database and then
populating the meta information dynamically. For Example: <title>Big Bear Cabins | Big Bear Cabin Rentals - Chateau Alta Vista Cabin</title>

Chateau ALta vista is a Big Bear Cabin with four bedrooms, three
bathrooms, it is Big Bear Luxury Property. If you notice the Title, keyword are dynamically populated from the database using the
property name of Chateau Alta Vista.  The description is an extra field in the database that I just implemented that I can customize per property. I have a few questions, but here is more information:  I also have 5 or 6 related pages
to each property.   Pages Like general information, photos, calendars, book
Question 1):  Is the best way of doing my titles, keywords and descriptions.  Any concerns or recommendations.  I have read, do not even use keywords anymore. Question 2) I have other pages that show maybe 8 or 10 photos.  So is it ok to do the following; Title <photos of="" big="" bear="" cabin="" chateu="" alta="" vista<="" title="">Meta Keywords <photos of="" big="" bear="" cabins="" chateu="" alta="" vista="">Meta Description <check out="" photos="" of="" big="" bear="" cabin="" rentals,="" chateua="" <br="">Alta Vista, etc Currently, I have some archaic page naming with database driven url parameters such as</check></photos></photos> http://destinationbigbear.com/property_Detail_v.aspx?propid=669 and at worse http://destinationbigbear.com/Property_detail_v.aspx?propid=669&rate= $1,127.10&checkoutdate=07/13/2014&beds=4&firstnight=07/11/2014&nights=2 I do not have he ability to to full url encoding such as http://destinationbigbear.com/cabins/chateau-alta-vista but I can do http:/www.destinationbigbear.com/big-bear-cabin-info.aspx?cabin=chateau%alta%vista Question is what do I do... If I do change the page names I will lose the history of property_detail_V.aspx which only has a Page Authority of 21,  but if I change the page name and dynamic navigation of my website will I not lose all my authorities,  if so, is it worth doing it? My highest keyword ranking is 30 which is terrible. Nick
