They do indeed have an expensive racket going. I just joined the chapter here in Denver and spent $700+ as well. Hopefully it is worth it.

In my experience, a baseline number of shares is completely reliant on the content being shared. The type of content is also indicative of the network it will be shared on. For example: We get more shares from Linkedin when we produce "professional" content. We get more Facebook shares when we share time wasting content.
