For the past month I have been struggling to resolve a problem with an increasing number of 404 crawl errors in Bing.  (Only Bing reports these  error, not Google and not Moz.)  I did receive email from them requesting a server log (which I have now sent 5 times.)  Their response, please send a server log.  The last email I sent (6/21) explained there should be server log attached, if they did not get it, not why not?  Do they have a restriction on file size?  What other compression types do they accept?  It has been very frustrating to deal with them and all of their responses are between 9 PM and midnight.  Almost a week later, no reply. Any suggestions how I can get out of this seemingly endless loop and get a helpful response during normal business hours (PDT)?

With the recent announcement of Googles new Knowledge Graph, the SERP will be different.  Will this present a new set of SEO best practices?

Over the past month or so I have noticed that Google is not using the meta description for my pages but is instead pulling text from the actual page to show on the SERP.  Is Google placing less emphasis on meta descriptions?

In my weekly crawl report I suddenly have a huge number of title not found and missing page descriptions errors for all of my pdf files.  The pdfs do have a page title (defined in the file/properties tab) However these page titles are not being picked up by the crawler or google.  Any ideas how do I fix this?  ( I am using the Adrobat 9 Distiller)

Today Google announced "Previously we reported the average position of all URLs from your site for a given query. As of today, we’ll instead average only the top position that a URL from your site appeared in." Will this affect SEOMoz reports in any way?

I have a couple of urls that are associated with the keywords in my campaign.  They are no longer valid so how do I remove them?

I understand that it is possible to create a 301 redirect for www.mysite..com/index.html to www.mysite.com. (as well as subdirectories.)  How is this accomplished?  My hosting company says that setting this up in htaccess will  cause "Apache to geti into an infinite loop and the page won’t load."  I have read on the forum that this is possible.  Any help would be greatly appreaciated. We have just created a program where we list the customers that use our software and a link to their websites on a new "Customers" page. We expect to have upwards of 100 logos with links back to their sites.  I want to be sure this isn't bordering on gray or black hat link building. I think it is okay since they are actual users of our software.  But there is still that slight doubt. Along these same lines, would you recommend adding a nofollow or noindex tag? Thanks for your help.
