Rain has been living and traveling in the Himalayas for over 30 years, researching, collecting and importing Master-quality
Tibetan singing bowls. Having been a member of the Tibetan community of Southern California since the mid 80's, Rain was instrumental in the early activism for a Free Tibet and his efforts helped lead to the founding of the Los Angeles chapter of Friends of Tibet.
An international recording artist, Rain released the world's first all-digital recording of Tibetan singing bowls, ONE HAND CLAPPING: Tibetan Bells with Environmental Sounds.
On his main company website, www.Bodhisattva.com, Rain shares his research on the historical and metallurgical aspects of the bowls, as well as information on their use for meditation, metaphysical and holistic healing.
Rain personally hand-selects each of Bodhisattva Trading Company's singing bowls. These Master-quality
singing bowls are considered to be amongst the finest caliber of singing bowls available in the world. Each has passed stringent tests for authentic antiquity, harmonic balance of sound, smoothness and ease of playing, sound volume and long sustain. From over fifty thousand singing bowls which Rain personally tests each year in the Himalayas, only 1/2% (1 out of 200!) are awarded Master-quality
status.
