The first way is how I would do it. I tend to think of it in terms of how I would typically answer a question in the real world. "Where do you work?" at a "Pet store in Boston, MA".

Thanks Toby, do you think that this has any negative SEO value?

RE: Social plugin making URLs wonky, would this hinder SEO efforts?
The plugin is redirecting all traffic to that URL, whether the user actually decides to share the page or not.

Social plugin making URLs wonky, would this hinder SEO efforts?
I have a client, heartlandplastic.com who uses a social SEO plugin which makes all of the URL's a bit wonky, for example, the homepage gets redirect to http://www.heartlandplastic.com/#sthash.Cyt22dM0.dpbs
Do you think I should find an alternative social share plugin, or that this plugin is fine, as is? They seem to be ranking fine for their immediate area.
Thank you!

RE: Medical Remarketing
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the feedback both of the services you referenced have policies that make it difficult to remarket for Medical.

Medical Remarketing
Hi Moz'ers,
I work with primarily medical practices and have had a huge issue with remarketing. AdWords no longer allows remarketing to the medical industry per their policies, not even branded. I've tried working with Ad Roll, and they only permit "branded" remarketing ads, meaning no specific call outs on procedures.
Has anyone worked with a remarketing service with less restrictions in the medical industry?
Thanks!

How to handle clients who want to target far away from their location?
In general, How do you recommend handling clients that are persistent about targeting a location that is very far away from their physical location, i.e. the client is in Providence, RI, but wants to target Boston, MA.
I typically give them a discussion about how they will not rank in the 7 packs, particularly post pigeon, but wanted to know if the Moz community had any other tips since this seems to come up so frequently.
Thank you!

RE: How to Handle duplicate pages/titles in Wordpress
If you are using a plugin such as Yoast- you can ask to no-follow and de-index tags and category pages that would cause this duplicate content issue. This way only your blog post url will be indexed but users on the site can still access the tag links.

RE: Creating an internal link network of clients
I agree with Ryan,
This is essentially a link wheel, and seems like it will have short terms success. Always link with a purpose and have the user experience in mind.

RE: How to increase pageviews for a news website when all the most common SEO strategies were already used, and they´ve reached a plateau of visits?
Look for long-tail industry related keywords, and write blog posts relevant to those of higher search volume.

How do I best optimize a video for a client's name?
Hello everyone,
I have a client who is obsessed with his videos being indexed directly under his site. We've already labeled his videos with his names, enhanced the meta data to the video to include his name, have added his website to his YouTube Channel, and also have synced his Google Plus Business Page with his YouTube Channel. Any other tips to further optimize his videos with his name? This is a new channel, with an age of only 2 weeks- but this client is being quite loud, and thought I would see if any Moz'ers have any other tips/ suggestions?
Thanks Everyone!

RE: Is it reasonable to not give an SEO access to our CMS?
In short- Yes, you are being unreasonable. You are not allowing the SEO to do their job, and will be hindering your own results.

RE: Subdomain versus Subfolder for Local SEO
Hi Richard, I understand that it gets posted about in fair detail , but I do feel that the issue of when trying to create a branded enterprise for an SMB that's trying to move toward franchising is typically not addressed. This was a particular situation I was inquiring about not just a general inquiry about subdomains versus subfolders.

RE: Subdomain versus Subfolder for Local SEO
Additionally, for a larger practice I feel that a subdomain logically makes more sense to be able to market a franchise as a whole. Then utilizing the subdomains to optiize an individual location level.

Subdomain versus Subfolder for Local SEO
Hello Moz World,
I'm wanting to know the best practices for utilizing a subdomain versus a subfolder for multi location businesses, i.e. miami.example.com vs. example.com/miami; I would think that that utilizing the subdomain would make more sense for a national organization with many differing locations, while a subfolder would make more sense for a smaller more nearby locations. I wanted to know if anyone has any a/b examples or when it should go one way or another?
Thank you,
Kristin Miller

Domain vs Subdomain for Multi-Location Practice
I have a client who has 2 locations (Orlando & Tampa) and would like to keep the current domain for both locations (DA 29). We want to target additional cities within each service area (Orlando & Tampa). Each service area would target 2 cities on the main pages and 4-5 cities with "SEO" pages which contains unique content specific to the given city.
Would I be better off creating sub domains (www.orlando.domain.com & www.tampa.domain.com), creating subfolders (www.domain.com/orlando, etc) or keeping the domain as is and create SEO pages specific to each city? We want to spread the domain authority to both locations.

Live Text in Navigation Vs. Image - Does this affect SEO
I recently was asked the question if having live text in the navigation vs and image affect seo. For example, refer to this link http://markup.io/v/avsaenq856kw the navigation highlighted is seperate images. The html elements read : ![](</span><strong style=)/images/procedures.png">
Live text html reads like this: Breast »
What is better for seo value, or does it now matter having live text or an image?

RE: How is this Dr. Getting a Ranking on a National Site in a Local Listing?
Excellent Response Robert. That was exactly what I was looking for. Very interesting, I guess this is the Directories answer to the Local Pack pushing them down in the rankings a year ago. Great Insight. Thanks.

How is this Dr. Getting a Ranking on a National Site in a Local Listing?
Please follow the link for a visual. Any help would be appreciated. The query I used was "phoenix plastic surgeons". I have never seen a large national site like PlasticSurgery.org Rank in local for a specific Dr. Thoughts?
Thanks!

The Better Title to Use?
Hello Mozers-
I am targeting the keywords "liposuction scottsdale", "liposuction phoenix", "liposuction mesa", "liposuction arizona". Out of the following two Titles below, one would you consider the better one? And Why? I am leaning towards the second example. If you have any more ideas that would be great.
1). Tummy Tuck Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona
2).Tummy Tuck Scottsdale | Tummy Tuck Phoenix, Mesa, Arizona.
Thanks!!
