I have a client who is in the eLearning space. They want to issue a Press Release using an online service I typically use PRweb and have had some success with this but haven't used it for people in the eLearning vertical Anyone have any thoughts / recommendations for Press Release services specifically for the eLearning space?

What Social Media Buttons/Links When & Where?
Our web development team members are having a debate on when and where to add various social media buttons / links. The crux of the debate is when does adding various calls to social media services become detrimental to page load time.
We have really been focusing recently on optimizing page load speed using YSlow and Google Page Speed tools to tweak templates and pages as much as possible.
Our webmaster argues that we should be selective on what pages we add Google+, Facebook LIKE, Twitter/Follow buttons. e.g. just 'important' pages such as the home page. Here is a forum link that speaks of this... http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4358033.htm
Bottom line? What are your thoughts on when and where to place various social media buttons and links for Google+, Facebook LIKE and Twitter/Follow.

How woud you deal with Blog TAGS & CATEGORY listings that are marked a 'duplicate content' in SEOmoz campaign reports?
We're seeing "Duplicate Content" warnings / errors in some of our clients' sites for blog / event calendar tags and category listings.
For example the link to http://www.aavawhistlerhotel.com/news/?category=1098 provides all event listings tagged to the category "Whistler Events".
The Meta Title and Meta Description for the "Whistler Events" category is the same as another other category listing.
We use Umbraco, a .NET CMS, and we're working on adding some custom programming within Umbraco to develop a unique Meta Title and Meta Description for each page using the tag and/or category and post date in each Meta field to make it more "unique".
But my question is .... in the REAL WORLD will taking the time to create this programming really positively impact our overall site performance?
I understand that while Google, BING, etc are constantly tweaking their algorithms as of now having duplicate content primarily means that this content won't get indexed and there won't be any really 'fatal' penalties for having this content on our site.
If we don't find a way to generate unique Meta Titles and Meta Descriptions we could 'no-follow' these links (for tag and category pages) or just not use these within our blogs.
I am confused about this. Any insight others have about this and recommendations on what action you would take is greatly appreciated.

While many of the links in the footer of www.AlohaWhistler.com (used as an example) are valuable and interesting some of them don't link to "money" pages. e.g. we see footer links to "Homes", "Condos", "Townhomes", etc as important and such pages are listed higher in the page but other links may be valuable to some visitors but not as vital to pump link juice to (e.g. "Our Team", "Reviews", etc.)
I have always been unsure about the balance of adding some links in footers, etc that may be value to some visitors but aren't really a priority for link juice / search engine rankings.
Normally I would only be concerned about reducing the number of footer links if we start seeing reports of "too many on-page links".
I welcome any discussion about this.

We tend to put a a lot of links in the footers of some of our websites (e.g. www.AlohaWhistler.com). Our CAMPAIGNS report is showing that several pages on such sites have "too many on-page links". We understand the logic that having more than 100 links per page is "too much". Does this also apply to footer links?
