Thanks Martijn,
I actually want to know what would you do for the 404 page itself. It is something like:
www.mainurl.com/404.html and for some reason this started to create some other links such as
www.mainrul.com/404.html?aspxerrorpath=/contact-office.aspx
Do you think I should add 404 page and subpages to Robot.txt ?
Thanks!
Hi,
got different opinion on this so i wanted to double check with your comment is.
We've got /404.html page and I was wondering if you would add this page to robot text so it wouldn't be indexed or would you just add no index tag? What would be the best approach?
Thanks!
I would recommend you to use 'Canonical Link'

Thanks all,
I think i needed to add a bit more.. I've checked the link above before but the problem is, when he visits the company page and click on edit, there is no 'designated admin' or 'add admin' comes up under company page.
However, i've just noticed, maybe his account is also 'admin' status not 'owner'. Does anyone know how can i see which email address owns the company page? (Maybe i should just email to Linkedin?)
Hi,
One of our client has a linked in Profile. He set up with his own company email address and he needs to add ma a user so i can update the profile.
However, we just couldn't figure out how to do this.
I have an email address with the company's url and added it on my profile. I 'liked' the company but i still cannot figure out how i could add my self. I can't login with client's email address as it is also his own linked profile.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this?
Thank you
I had that argument with a client once and i manage to persuade them not to go ahead with it as they had .com and .co.uk .
.com is international so i think it did make sense not to use .eu but in your case, if you don't have .com then probably you need to look at which countries you want to target. If your client is UK based and if they target client from all around EU, then it might make sense to use .eu as you have very little chance to target someone in Italy with co.uk or .com.fr domains. If you are targeting only UK and FR then, you don't need .eu. It will just duplicate your work.
I wish MOZ remove that error or increase the link limit to 200
Thanks Jesse, You've been very helpful.
I knew the tool you've sent me but I haven't used it for a while. I've just done the testing on that as well and I think i kind of know what the issue is now. I think Moz gives the ranking report for the home main URL but keywords ranks different for different pages. I will use the moz keyword ranking for the keywords that i target on the home page but for everything else, i think it is better to use another tool. I will check again with Moz team but i think i kind of know what the issue is.
Thank you so much for help

One of the best way to check links that comes to your site is to use backlink checker software (open site explorer). If the main url is mis-spelt i don't think you can find out using the software as the url wouldn't point to your website at all. If you requested the link your self from a website, you can only find out by visiting the website and checking the link.
To check the broken links, I use broken link checker software and i do redirect or fix the links so if there are any links coming through to those pages it'll be fixed or redirected. I use brokenlinkcheck.com or screaming frog to check broken links.
I hope that helps.
I am not quite sure why you are moving the account or if there is such a thing. You should have Google places for your business to list your business on Google Map.
Google + Business page is a page where you create a network with your followers. You should have both of them for your business.
Re: Verification: You need to verify your account for Google Places but no need for Google +. If your letter has gone to wrong address, login to your account and correct the address and ask them to resend it. Otherwise, your address on Google Map will be incorrect. Make sure you get letter to right address.
I hope that helps
One of the reason why businesses should have blog is to rank on the keywords that they want to target. It's a great news that your blog articles are ranking on the keywords that you want to target and now what you need to do - that's actually what you should be doing when you create the blog - have a link or an image that would take users to relevant services pages.
I do use Magento and i can recommend it but i can't compare with OpenCart as i haven't tried it yet.
For Magento, you can easily download pretty much all extensions that you would need but you pay for some of the required extensions. It might be worth make a list of what extension you need then check how much it would cost. Such as 'browse by', 'share on social networks ' ' one page checkout' , 'zoom' etc . You can also find great templates and i found quite easy to learn Magento.
I hope that helps
Hi,
I was wondering when and how often do you use 'Fetch as a Google'' on Google Webmaster and do you submit individual pages or main URL only?
I've googled it but i got confused more. I appreciate if you could help.
Thanks
They are two separate things and I would recommend to have both if you can, as Like button is get people to share your home page with their friends and Like Box is to get them to join your Facebook page which is important have more followers for retention and branding purposes. From SEO point, it is important if people share your page but you also need to get people to share your future posts which is also important and to do this you need to make sure you grow your followers on Like Page. Like box on home page would be good way to get more followers.
I hope that helps
I had this issue so many times with different clients in the past and I still continue to come cross with the same issue. It's a challenge to deal with bunch of domains with no quality website or SEO, especially since the first penguin update.
Here is what I do and what i recommend,
1- Subdomain: I don't recommend subdomains for SEO purposes at all as they are considered as a new domain and if they are related to main domain there is no reason why they shouldn't be created as a subpages. ( To be honest, i don't even like typing subdomains as I have to put dot in the middle of the domain, I already have to put one before .com I don't want to use another one). As subdomains are treated as a new domain, you will have to do all marketing activities twice so you are actually duplicating the work.
2- Forum: I would recommend to have forum as a subdomain as well but In my previous tasks we actually had a lot of technical issues with forum integration. Things can go wrong easily on forums and it does effect the main domain, therefore i would say have the domain as a subpages as long as they don't create technical issues. If they do, then it could be worthwhile to consider a new domain.
3- Classify Ads: I am not quite sure why you would have classify adds on a separate domain. Your specific domain is also a bit long to type. I would recommend subpages for this as it gives you chance to increase the number of pages on your main domain and i think it'd make user journey easier. Visitors wouldn't have to jump from one domain to another, everything will be under one roof.
In terms of separate domains, I use separate domains, only keyword related domain, for PPC purposes as i pay less click rate on some of the keywords. Does it save me a lot money? No, but the domains were already bought by my clients and at least I manage to save some money rather than keeping them for nothing. Other than that, as long as the domains don't have a new product, service or something different that worth to get a new domain, i don't recommend buying separate domains.
I agree with Dan, I strongly recommend to have one good website and do all you marketing activities on one of them.
I hope that helps.

Thank you all, each comment is very helpful.
I think getting a footer link is not a good idea but this won't be a footer a link. It will be coming only from 'Privacy Policy' page and if we can link to terms 'privacy policy' it won't be unrelated as this is what client provides.
I think it is a little different issue here then ''' website is create by ...Brand''. In terms of gaining links from any website is not unrelated to us, because a website with a 'Privacy Policy' is generally a business website and this legal company deals with legal matters of the businesses including Privacy Policy. I think as long as the links come from Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions page, it will be a related link.
