Does your website have a blog? If yes, you can start posting good and interesting content. Use an email list and social media to network it and get some links. Gradually DA and PA will increase. Additionally, add you business to local listing sites especially those mentioned on listed.org. Make sure the NAP is consistent. That should get you some authority.

To answer the second part of your question the keywords need to be revised accordingly. I would focus on NLP therapy, NLP Practitioner, NLP life coaching as primary seed keywords. For MS related keywords it would be best to focus on lifestyle for MS keywords.
And yes, the title goes well with your service, though its longer than 65 characters.

I would not go with anyone of these keywords. You need people looking for treatment to come you your website. That way they will convert better. So even if the search numbers are few, your primary keyword should be

You've got most of the things right.
A .com domain works fine along with US hosting.
Just make sure you get links to your city pages from local US sites. Contribute to the local communities and get them talking about you online and Google will pick up the signal.
As for checking rankings, you can use Bright Local to set up your campaign. Its fairly accurate.

To check rankings manually, on the bottom right of your Google.co.uk screen you will see Google.com. Click that and the .com version opens. You can set your custom location in the left side panel.
Marie, thanks for responding. No we did not get any warnings. I had no idea that a site could be "Penguinzed" so late after an update.
Greg and Maximize suggested altering the site wide link status. We had control over two of our sister websites. We corrected that and hey within an hour we were back!

Vijay, here are some of the questions our company asks itself to analyze the bounce rate.
1. is the bounce rate from organic, direct or referral traffic?
2. if it is from organic what keywords have the highest bounce rate? Are the visitors finding the correct page for the keyword? If yes, use multivariate testing via Google optimizer.
3. If it is from a referral site you need to analyze your referral strategy. Is the reference relevant for your business? If it is would it be suitable to send them to a more specific page or should you redo the page.
From our experience we have found that relevancy and loading time are the two mantras to reduce bounce rate. Even an badly designed website that has relevant content can hold visitors. Conversion is a different issue though.

For future get your site verified by adding a verification code via Google webmaster. This helps identify the site problems if any.

We have used press release sites particularly PRWeb with the social media option for quite a clients. It works good for ecommerce sites as we have noticed online sales going up after each press release. For the others it does not make much of a difference except increase the site traffic by 4-7%.
We use both HARO and paid PR sites for press releases. They both target different audiences.
