RE: Certainty or Uncertainty of SEO / Link Building
Yes, you can replicate your competitor's links provided you have sufficient resources and skills. There is no magic, well maybe a little bit.

RE: Google Analytics Reports
I would suggest a local one, search on-line and ask around. I don't know where are you based, I'm sure some of the Mozzers here will be able to recomend someone local. The price will also vary depending on location.

RE: Google Analytics Reports
I suggest you find a competent SEO agency. Make sure you check them out first, look them up, check testimonials and their previous work.

RE: How can blogging competition help SEO?
A competition like this, t can provide you with content for your site/blog and links. It can also give your products/brand more exposure.

RE: Viral content ideas for a local makeup artist.
Great stuff guys, many thanks. I love the charity idea. The cakes are good too but we could end up with some very angry young ladies I guess we could use models.

RE: Seomoz on-page analysis, how strict to be
Hi Bob
I think it is always important to have your on-page optimisation spot on. I'm pretty sure your competition will also do their homework. Just remember that optimisation doesn't end on-page there are of-site factors as well.

RE: Website tables
Hi Sergio
Page titles are a very important ranking factor and changing them will affect your ranking. You say that the new keyword you are trying to rank for is Office Cleaning London, do you have inbound links containing that anchor? I don't know what was the keyword you were ranking for the past 2 years but I assume you had a fair share of backlinks with anchor containing that keyword. There is more to consider, is the new keyword bringing you more or less traffic, is it converting better?

RE: On Page Analysis and Grading
the report gives you grade for one keyword only, so if you run one report for say "dry erase board " and then a 2nd report for "monogrammed dry erase board" the results would be different.

RE: How can you manually diagnose the canonical problem
Keep in mind that rel=canonical is more of a suggestion than a command.

RE: Facebook Like Quick Question
I prefer "shares" rather than "likes" as they appear in News Feed. You should also keep in mind that if clocking on your FB box takes people to FB they might stay there and I guess you would rather have them browsing your site.
As for the difference in likes, there are two types of "like" boxes you can have one to "like" your website and one to "like" your FB Page.

RE: Understanding page and subdomain metrics in OSE
Hi meterdei an example of a subdomain would be blog.mydomain.com
The OSE gives you the option to check all links pointing to a specific page, all links pointing to a subdomain and all links pointing to root domain.

RE: No idea where to start with keywords
In addition to using keyword tools, you can also look up your most successful competitors and look at their keywords.

RE: Squidoo for link building?
Thanks Digirank, I will give it a try and try to get my squidoo lens featured.
-
RE: Falling Domain Authority
According to SEOmoz there are over 150 signals included in DA calculation. Of course links would be your usual suspect here but as Phil Gross said you should revisit all the changes you've made in the past months.

RE: Squidoo for link building?
What do you mean by "make sure that your article is live on Squidoo before the link is seen by the search engines" ?
As for the Hub Pages, I think you have to achieve a score of 70+ or something like that before you're allowed followed links.

RE: Link building
Hi eye
I guess I would place a link on a page with 200+ outgoing external links, provided the page has some solid authority and some useful content. I would consider the text - links ratio as well. It's not an easy question and I guess it really depends on the page.

This should help http://www.seomoz.org/img/upload/Cheat%20Sheet%20-%20301.png
Here is the full PDF version of Developer's SEO cheat sheet. I found it very useful when dealing with technical SEO issues.

Squidoo for link building?
Hello Mozzers
I'm thinking about using squidoo as a part of my link building. I've never used squidoo before, I'd love to hear from Mozzers using sqidoo for link building and traffic generation.

RE: How can you manually diagnose the canonical problem
Morning Nightwing
We also had some snow here in B'ham but it's almost gone now.
If you want to be sure then simply implement 301 redirects. When doing a manual check, like the one you've mentioned above, you can look at your SEOmoz toolbar and you will often see a difference in PA of different versions of your page.

RE: Search form another country
That would be google.com and google.co.uk and if you find yourself redirected to your local google site you will need to change your settings. You will find instructions on Google support page here.
-
RE: Code for redirect
Hi Atul
That would depend on what type of redirection you're after, 301, 302 and the type of server you are using Apache or ISS. There is a nice post here explaining redirections in detail. It should answer your question.

RE: Link Building Stragedy can anyone please give me advice
Internal links and inbound links are two different things. It is important to have a sound internal link structure it can improve navigation and user experience. It also gives search engines a better idea of your site. It is also good to link out to external, especially authoritative pages. However in order to rank well for your keywords you will need inbound links ie. other sites linking to pages or your website. The better and more authoritative inbound links you get the better will your pages rank.

RE: How to improve my google backlinks
Hi Diane
Link building is a long process, you are in a very good place to learn how to start your link building. Check out The professional guide to link building. You can use OSE to check your existing backlinks.Be aware that It takes some time before your links will show up. Keep in mind that some of your competitors started their link building years ago. You just need to be persistent and focus on building quality links, as not all links are equal.

RE: Duplicate page title
Hi Mark
Are you using Google Webmaster Tools to find duplicate page titles?
-
RE: How can I find the pages on my site with the highest page rank?
No, you can not.do that with SEOmoz bar.
-
RE: How can I find the pages on my site with the highest page rank?
Hi Shawn
You can use SEOmoz toolbar and then check the PR of pages with the highest Page Authority. PA will give you a better idea of the page's authority than PR anyway.
I'm not sure if there is a tool that will let you do this in bulk tho.

RE: I am looking for teh traffic on all our keywords. Can this done in one go or do we have to check one by one?
I was just about to edit my response I misunderstood your question.

RE: I am looking for teh traffic on all our keywords. Can this done in one go or do we have to check one by one?
Hi James
No, you can not upload keywords. You'll have to optimise your pages for certain keywords and build inbound links in order to rank and get traffic. There was a great post about perfecting your keyword targeting & on page optimisation. I always show this page to my customers as an example of perfectly optimised page.
You will need to optimise a number of pages, you can use the template from the link above and when done there is a handy little tool here on SEOmoz to check and grade how well is your page optimised for a particular keyword.
I hope this helps.

RE: Anybody Provide Quality Backlinks?
Hi Dinesh
I don't think anyone can provide you with a bundle of 1000+ quality backlinks just like that. Link building is a long process. I suggest you check out The Professional guide to link building. You should also be mindful of anyone offering you such a bundle in exchange for money. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.

RE: Ways to get the most out of your content/blog posts?
Hi Melissa
This is all good. I suggest you also do some work before publishing your post. Spread the word around using all available channels and reach out to influencers in your niche. Get in touch with influential bloggers, they might be able to give you some pointers that will increase your chances of getting links. They have to like your post in a first place if they ever going to link to it. There was an excellent Whiteboard Friday on How to increase the odds of your content going viral. Please check it out, I found it very helpful.
You should also consider adding Google+ and twitter to your social strategy.
