For me I think the most valuable links are:
1. one way links from relevant websites (blogs, forums, etc)
2. one way links from social bookmarks and being re-tweeted!
^_^
It would depend on two things.
1. did they received your email?
2. Did they even bother opening and reading your email at all?
If you're able to satisfy the ones above then chances are you are almost 50% in having a good link.
Hello Stephon,
Nope unfortunately SEOmoz doesn't provide that kind of service, I know how you feel, I think most webmasters do feel the same way. I bet you're thinking"with all the information I have on my table where will I start?". While keyword research is already an handful in getting a good ranking there are two things that I think would be safe to assume altogether.
In optimizing your site you need two things. links and content.
Start with content and then links will come after.
Message me if you need more help ^_^
I've used it before waaay back in 2006 it was good then and free, but then Google took an interest in it and penalized people who does it.
Basically I don't see any problem with using it unless used carelessly.
There have been some changes recently but as of the moment I wouldn't recommend it.
So I'm curious: in your experience, what are the brightest white hat link-building tactics that present the least amount of risk? - The ones presented here at SEOmoz are the best linkbuilding practices I know so far ^_^
Hi Eyepaq,
I beg to disagree. And I think most SEO's will agree
That "LINKS CAN BE BUILT AS LONG AS IT FOLLOWS GOOGLES GUIDELINES"
As for what is really a true white-hat linkbuilding I would define it as:
Marketing your website without encroaching on the rules set by Google.
So there.

Alfredo Palconit Jr! hahahaha Kamusta kapatid!
Thanks for the great info, seems like FB is still trying to fix their algorithm, and not even those 100+ former Google Employees are adept at solving the problem.
I just found out that most of the time non-relevant ads are showing up, in seemingly weird profiles and I thought that 500 million users can't go wrong!
Anyway Maraming Salamat! (Thank you very much) for the input.
MABUHAY ang SEO Philippines!
Its all natural to me, I think that a white hat, gray hat or black hat depends on the intention of the webmaster. If those micro sites don't encroach on any google guidelines then it is okay. ^_^
Hi Guys,
I've been wondering if it is really worth it to invest in facebook ads, there have been mixed reviews lately from the positive: http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/02/facebook-bigger-google/ to the more negative: http://www.seobook.com/facebook-vs-google-no-contest/
The industry I am trying to optimize for is gadget related, I've been running some adwords on it but I would want to venture on the social bandwagon which is facebook.
Any Ideas? Suggestions? Reactions? Experiences you can share so I can come up with a better decision?
Thanks A Bunch!
I think its okay, because you're paying for service and its pure white hat, its just like using adwords and msn at the same time.
Better have www. instead of without. Uniformity has always been an issue
In the Philippines we have lots of cheap and great Freelance SEO's as well company's where you at?
there are some good ones out there (fast directory submitter, IBP, webceo) but they are meant to be viewed as supplementary ones for the ones you create manually.
it doesn't matter don't worry
I am a fan of press releases and indeed they work (well for me) as long as you have great magnetic headlines (read: copyblogger & shoemoney) a great copy can always go a long way!
Paid tools... you really have to invest in order for you to conquer, I can share some but I personally think SEOmoz has all of them but you can still find good ones outside which SEOmoz also mentions hehehe
Hi Kevin,
It is really hard to assume that a website is using BH unless I am able to check them myself, but for starters (which I believe you already did) you can always check the FF: PR, Links (inbound & outbound) use yahoo for this, use the tools in SEOmoz for this too to determine the quality of links.
You see it could also mean that those websites are of diff. IP's and each site is linking to authority domains, needless to say but you also have to check your website if it is really optimized and the duration thereof for its caching.
Now this is a handful but I am excited as to the outcome of this.
Cheers!
