Like what James said, I wouldn't de-index them. Perhaps consider putting a call to action to get those visitors to micro-convert to an email list or put some sort of offer on them? Just a few ideas...

RE: How do you decide which keywords to optimize first?
Hi Stephanie,
I'd say pulling your analytics data for keywords you're getting long tail traffic for that you're ranking for on the first page (not in top 2 spots) and prioritizing that against your rankings data (whether its from SEOMoz, Advanced Web Ranking etc) using Vlookups in Excel
If you're estimating potential traffic, you can export Adwords keyword data for potential traffic (very rough estimate) to get an idea of what kind of traffic you could potentially be getting
An excellent resource would be http://www.distilled.net/excel-for-seo/#vlookup to start off with.
Hope that helps!

Inheriting Adwords account and establishing baselines
Hi guys!
I'm a complete newbie to the Adwords/PPC world. Right now I've been put into the situation where I'm in charge of my company's adwords account, but I'm trying to figure out the baselines and KPI's.
I'm currently going through PPC Hero's resources, but I just wanted to reach out to the SEOMoz community for those people who are doing paid search in-house for their own companies.
Right now, I haven't done much to our account other than add/delete a few keywords, and pause few campaigns that weren't relevant anymore, as well as some light reporting.
What have you done in terms of an action plan to start moving the meter for your own respective companies whilst inheriting accounts? Would appreciate any resources that have helped you get a stellar ROI for your own companies!
Thanks!

RE: Analytics (Other Than Google) & A/B Testing Tools
I'm currently using Optimizely - it's a delight to use and so darned easy to set up!
You can get some actionable insights within a day or a few depending on the amount of traffic your website is receiving.
