Could somebody suggest a GOOD Wordpress XML sitemap generator?

We have been putzing around with Google XML Sitemaps Generator (a plug-in on Wordpress) for our Wordpress blog and we cannot get it to write an XML sitemap!
Could somebody suggest a viable alternative that actually works? Thank you for your help!

Thank you all for your help and answers! Barry, we re-created the Sitemap via FTP and it easily took it! Also, we noticed that Chrome will not display the actual XML Sitemap...so we checked it in IE....works perfectly. Again, thank you all for your help!

I'm in agreement with Stefano that I've been using it for years and never had any problems that weren't my fault/settings.
Is the problem that it simply can't write to your server? I've had that before. Create the sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz files manually via ftp, then play around with the permissions until the plugin can write to the files.
If you can tell us exactly what the issue is we might be able to get it working

That is so strange. I have been using that plugin for years with great results.
What errors are you recieving? Are you trying to add it to some external tool?

Sitemap generator partially finding list of website URLs
Hi everyone, When creating my XML sitemap here it is only able to detect a portion of the website. I am missing at least 20 URLs (blog pages + newly created resource pages). I have checked those missing URLs and all of them are index and they're not blocked by the robots.txt. Any idea why this is happening? I need to make sure all wanted URLs to be generated in an XML sitemap. Thanks!

No structured sitemap
Hello We face this problem that a lot of sitemaps are structurally not good. In this case we used the WP sitemap plugin to generate the website sitemap and Google XML sitemaps to generate the sitemap for Google. We also bought the Yoast premium plugin, but we can read in the backend that the plugin XML sitemaps may cause problems in combination with Yoast. Normally the Google XML sitemap generator improves SEO using sitemaps for the best indexation by search engines, but the structure is not as we want it. Will Yoast be a better solution to generate structured sitemaps? This is a section from the current sitemap of www.rovana.be. Best Strategy to Rank Wordpress Category
Does anyone some suggestions for best practices when trying to rank categories using Wordpress? Unless you filter it, a category provides a complete list of all posts in that category. I can add a good title and description but am not sure beyond that. Has anyone tried using a sticky post in the category and putting keyword body text in that? Lookin' for ideas.

Wordpress Problems.. SEO-Yoast is Toast?
Hello; I have installed the WP Yoast Widget in my Blog, and 2 weeks, after my issues went away, they came back X's 300! lol So I uninstalled it, and my issues obviously got worse, and then I re-activated, and reset everything, and still got the 300+ issues. Is there a secondary plug in you would suggest, to run at the same time as Yoats, or theat will fix all issues? Ever think of making an SEOmoz Widget for WP since it is gaining so much popularity?? Hi, My sitemap.xml is not submitting correctly in Google Webmaster. There is 697 url submitted but only 56 are in Google index. At the top of webmaster this is what it says ->>> http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml has been resubmitted. But when when I clicked status button RED X occurs. Any suggestions about this, thanks...
