For SEOMoz Staff - Can You Make a Better Referral Badge, PLEASE?
-
I am going to send referrals to SEOMOZ and I want to put a badge on my site with my referral link from this page: http://www.seomoz.org/users/referrals
Can you make some banners where we can just select an image src with a call to action like "FREE SEO Tools" and "Free 30 Day Trail"? Currently the only badges I see say something wack like "I Love SEOMOZ" http://www.seomoz.org/dp/badges I need something that converts higher than "I love SEOmoz".
Love yah guys!

Hey Francisco!
You are correct we have both. The affiliate program is designed for non-PRO members, and opens us up to working with networks of sites that are closely related to ours. The payout is $25 per lead.
The referral program is really meant for existing PRO members, and helps us reward our PRO members for recommending us to clients, friends, etc. The payout is $100 credit to your account.
The idea here is that we believe both PRO members and non-PRO members can have friends, visitors, etc. that might be interested in PRO. We wanted there to be options for sending qualified leads our way. We believe in rewarding anyone who mentions us, hence both options.
hope that helps clear it up!

Ahhh Joanna! I think you opened a can of worms! LOL
Now I'm confused. Are you saying that SEOmoz has a "Referral Program" and an "Affiliate Program"?
http://www.seomoz.org/dp/seomoz-pro-affiliate-program ($25 whether they join or not)
http://www.seomoz.org/users/referrals ($100 credit past 30 days)
Unless SEOMOZ really wants me to refer a personal friend (I don't have any friends) shouldn't the "referral" and "affiliate" program be the same program?

Hey Francisco this is a great idea. We actually have a number of badges in the affiliate program platform but have yet to integrate them with the Referral Program. I'd like even more to have custom badges for the Refer A Friend program, but this is going to take a little bit given our design resources and dev resources (we'd need to integrate them into our internal platform}. Let me talk to a few people and see if I can't get this prioritized for Q1. At the least feel free to make a badge that you like and send over to me - joanna@seomoz.org and we can try to approve something on a temporary basis to keep you afloat until we can get more formalized options in there.
Thanks for the suggestion, its a great reminder to build these out!

MozBar Chrome - Can I turn it back on?
I'm using Chrome 27.0.1453.110. I installed the Moz toolbar and lost the send button in gmail. Didn't matter how I sized the window it was out of view. So I closed the Moz toolbar while I did my mail. But now I don't know how to bring it back up. Does anyone know how to turn it on again? It is still installed.

Organic Competition Assessment Tool Recommendation Please
Hi, What tool do you recommend (and why) for best assessing your organic search competition's keywords AND that includes some kind of reasonably accurate estimate of what organic search traffic they are getting by specific page or keyword? Thanks... Darcy

SEOmoz Report: Competitive Domain Analysis
Hi there, According to SEOmoz Dashboard's Competitive Domain Analysis, the 'Total Links' for our domain shot up (more than quatripled) in the last few weeks. We haven't really done much link building in over 6 months so not sure how to explain this. Did SEOmoz make updates to their bots? Could it be that the bots are finding all these links only now? We've been using SEOmoz reporting for almost a year now, and I've never seen this before. Some insight / explanation for this would be great. Thanks in advance,

Excluding parameters from seomoz crawl?
I'm getting a ton of duplicate content errors because almost all of my pages feature a "print this page" link that adds the parameter "printable=Y" to the URL and displays a plain text version of the same page. Is there any way to exclude these pages from the crawl results?

Has SEOMoz Domain Authority calc been updated recently
As ever, my apologies if this question's been asked before -- I searched for it, and didn't find it. But, our SEOMoz 'Domain Authority' has recently really jumped (from 67, where it was for many months, to 77). And, our number of Linking Root Domains increased as well, from 1,986 to 3,349) Of course, none of this has translated into Google goodness, but if any of it's true, maybe it WILL in the future? Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks, Dave (www.TeachStreet.com)

How can I clean up my crawl report from duplicate records?
I am viewing my Crawl Diagnostics Report. My report is filled with data which really shouldn't be there. For example I have a page: http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/ This is a main forum page. It contains a list of many threads. The list can be sorted on many values. The page is canonicalized, and has been since it was created. My crawl report shows this page listed 15 times. http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?direction=asc http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?direction=desc http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?order=post_date and so forth. Each of those pages uses the same canonicalization reference shared above. I have three questions: Why is this data appearing in my crawl report? These pages are properly canonicalized. If these pages are supposed to appear in the report for some reason, how can I remove them? My desire is to focus on any pages which may have an issue which needs to be addressed. This site has about 50 forum pages and when you add an extra 15 pages per forum, it becomes a lot harder to locate actionable data. To make matters worse, these forum indexes often have many pages. So if I have a "Corvette" forum there that is 10 pages long, then there will be 150 extra pages just for that particular forum in my crawl report. Is there anything I am missing? To the best of my knowledge everything is set up according to the best SEO practices. If there is any other opinions, I would like to hear them.

Would an SEOmoz Q & A feed be useful?
I don't see a Q & A feed subscribe button. Am I missing it? Seems to me that being able to receive updates when new questions are posted would be useful.
