Keyword tool: SEOMOZ spacific month ? vs adword tool 12 month average but same data ???
-
Running a keyword analysis in SEOMOZ it shows my the folowing information "Local Search Volume (Dec)". I compared the data for the specific country , language and keyword with the adwords keyword tool and it exactly showed me the same numbers.
The adwords keyword tool shows:
"Local Monthly Searches: This column shows the approximate 12-month average number of search terms matching each keyword" http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=25148
So if the numbers are the same in google keword tool and SEOMOZ why is SEOMOZ saying that for a specif month?
If the data is the same one of both can not be right or probaly I didn't get the point.

Thanks for help

This search volume data would have been last updated in December and not for just that specific month. It is clear that we need to provide better information on what this means though. Thanks for bring this to our attention and I'll see what we can do to add one of those little informational hover boxes to this so that there isn't any future confusion.
Have a great day!

The keyword difficulty/analysis tool uses the Google Adwords API so the results are the same.
The reason that SEOmoz has a month in there is that Rand wants it to appear he is smarter than Google... (NO Just Kidding).
I think for the answer as to why it shows a month we will need the assistance of an associate, etc.

What SeoMoz tool am I thinking of?
A few months ago I found a tool on Moz that did keyword link research. It is not keyword analysis either. It took a word and turned it into links such as dir:cabinet. I can't find it or remember or it. Does anyone else know? (I know this description sucks, sorry about that)

Has the relevancy of SEOmoz tools disappeared?
I have A rankings for my on-site grades for my most important keywords. I have no Critical issues and no Warnings with my Crawl Diagnostics. Most of the Competiive Link analysis data shows my site beating out the competition. If all this is accurate, how can my SERPs continue to decrease and lesser pages with terrible optimization and backlinking be ranking higher? I even have a facebook page beating me in the results. If there is nothing left for me to address using SEOmoz, and I keep getting worse & results, doesn't it mean that the SEOmoz tools are not relevant to producing actual results? Or, am I missing something?

Can I calculate "Keyword Difficulty" metric using Mozscape API data?
We already have a web application that pulls certain metrics about websites using the Mozscape API, but we are wanting to extend the usefulness of this application to enable users of the app to pull "Keyword Difficulty" metrics in bulk, instead of one at a time (or 5 at a time). I wouldn't mind the 5 at a time limitation if we could just automate the API calls and let the tool pull data for 50 or so keywords without user-interaction. I know that it's a "formula", but I don't know what SEOMoz uses for it's formula. Has anyone figured out a way to calculate this, based on the Mozscape API data? Has anyone ever tried to reverse engineer this metric?

Is there a keyword suggestion tool available in the SEOMOZ suite of tools?
Is there a keyword suggestion tool available in the SEOMOZ suite of tools that is similar to semrush.com? semrush allows you to put in a URL and then will tell you what keywords you rank for. Looking for a good tool that is similar.

SEOmoz v's Google Webmaster Keyword Ranking
Hi, how accurate is SEOmoz keyword ranking v's Google Webmaster? Some Keywords in SEOmoz say I'm in position 3 in Ireland for some Keywords and in Google Webmaster they are figures like 16. I understand in Google Webmaster that the keyword position is an Average What should I be going by and what is the credibility of both ranking estimators?
