Does mozbot also check whether its a flash or frames website?
-
Dear Seomoz expert,
I have signed up for a free trial account for SEOmoz Pro. Im testing available SEO software to see which one is gonna make me work more efficient for my clients.
Right now im doing technical analysis by hand which costs alot of time but gives me the ability to deliver high quality advices.
One of the things i always thorougly check is the way a website is structured (code). I see a lot of relevant criteria for crawl analysis but dont see flash or frames.
This is kind of important because on a full flash website there is no content for the Google spider to crawl. Frames can also cause issues looking at internal linking structure and all.
How is this integrated in SEOmoz Pro?
Greets,
S.

Hi Cyrus!
Thanks for the response! There are some tools that say if it's a flash or frames site.. But after going through all the crawl diagnostics in SEOmoz PRO i think the information it offers automatically shows that there are issues due to frames or flash.
I realise that it's not about whether a site has frames or flash but the issues that are caused by the use of these techniques. And i think that SEOmoz PRO failry covers these issues.
Also, it's not a bad thing using the crawler in your head to check upon things once in while
SEOmoz PRO is in my oppinion the only tool that has a structured and efficient way of presenting data. Im just gonna use it some more and see if it really spares me hours working on projects.
Thanks!

Hi Sander,
Really good question. And you are absolutely right about about flash and frames causing potential problems.
SEOmoz crawlers do not check for flash or frames, so there is no way of knowing if it encounters these in your crawl report. This would be a nice feature, but off the top of my head I don't know of any off-the-shelf commercial SEO tools that do this, although I'm sure a simple crawler would be easy for a motivated developer to build.
My ideal crawler would not only report these stats, but also the number of unique words in the text body.
We do have a PRO feature request you can take advantage of.
Hopefully you can still find value with the PRO platform. Regardless, I'll pass your comments along to the team. Thanks and best of luck!

Why Google de-rank a website.
Hi, I was inspecting a website which is covering the topic of best wheelbarrow of 2021, it is a new website and and starts ranking on google. But, after few days it got de-rank automatically and Moz is also not showing any result to that. I was wandering why this just happened and what should I do if I made my website and will not face this kind of situation?

How to check why our DA is gradually dropping
Greetings fellow Moz Community, first time asking a question here so kind of excited to be part of the community. I hired an SEO firm about three months ago. They have arranged high ranking DA guest posts for us as well as many other small low DA links. None of these links have any kind of a spam score. However for the past two months they have been helping, our website's DA has actually dropped by one point each month. Is this cause for concern? Any thoughts on how I can trace the drop? On a side-note, out of the 700+ keywords that didn't were ranking in the top 50, about 200 of them now are gone compared to last month. I don't know if this is related or not, but something looks awry.

Can bad html code hurt your website from ranking ?
Hello,For example if I search for “ Bike Tours in France” I am looking for a page with a list of tours in France.Does it mean that if my html doesn’t have list * in the code but only that apparently doesn’t have any semantic meaning for a search engine my page won’t rank because of that ?Example on this page : https://bit.ly/2C6hGUn According to W3schools: "A semantic element clearly describes its meaning to both the browser and the developer. Examples of non-semantic elements: <div> and - Tells nothing about its content. Examples of semanticelements: <form>, , and- Clearly defines its content."Has anyone any experience with something similar ?Thank you, </form>

Websites that scroll....forever....
I'm seeing more and more websites that have all their content on one page. I came across www.otbthink.com today and am wondering if I'm missing something here. I ask this because I am trying to figure out how to link to their copy writing portion of their website. I have a client that is in their area and needs someone to do some copy writing work for them. All the content there is being served through css. The search engines will see it but how do you optimize for this sort of site? How do you link to a particular section of this site? Am I missing something obvious here? Thanks.

SeoMoz robot is not able to crawl my website.
Hi, SeoMoz robot crawls only two web pages of my website. I contacts seomoz team and they told me that the problem is because of Javascript use. What is the solution to this? Should I contact my webdesign company and ask them to remove Javascript code?
