EBay listing links SEO value?

Hi guys,
Our website has an eBay widget which lots of eBay users put on their listings. We are thinking of using that as a way to get links from eBay listings.
However, since most eBay listings will disappear after 90 days, is this worth doing and also will Google count those links?

I realise this is an old thread but can I ask : can you list to your website from yiur ebay listings? It was my understanding EBAY disapproved of outbound links. Is there a way to go about it thats in line with policies. ?My own store is wordpress/woocommerce.

Hello David, my company that I work for has/had several Ebay accounts for different websites and one thing I always noticed is that when we linked our site, or the corresponding product in the listing it would hold power when searching for it. In other words Some of my listing that I put up that really never sold, I would make sure they were heavily optimized and would usually show up in search results. I also noticed that our on site sales would increase when I did this because customers would view our website after looking at the listing which lead to more browsing/buying. But as you said they dissapear after 90 days, and the selling items go away rather fast so it does become somewhat null in purpose. So it comes to a personal choice good sir, good luck on your quest for Page 1!

It sounds like it would be simple to do and I can't see any serious down side. Sounds like an easy win, even if the results would not be as good as if the links were appearing on longer standing pages.
Depending on what your existing link profile looks like, I would be careful about saturating anchor text. If you suddenly had a huge jump in links all with exact match anchor text then it could be problematic. If there is a risk of that opt for brand anchor - or better still vary the text.
I'd rather have a regular stream of links that last 90 days than not have them. I know that some would have reservations about having large numbers of links not hanging around, but I don't think it would be an issue in this case.

Link value from high authority domains vs low authority domains. How big is the difference?
Hi Guys. Could you send me in the direction of some quality information on link value. i.e) How much 'link juice' do you get from high authority domains vs low authority domains. Also, I understand the Moz value for DA is logarithmic, not linear. Does this also mean that a link from a site with a really high DA would be exponentially higher value than a site with a low DA. Will short linking to my site affect SERPs attribution of inbound link?
Some brand partners are using their short links to link back to our site (like bit.ly but they have their own). They have a high domain authority and trust so we want that link back to be read by Google. When I downloaded all inbound links from Moz, this brand's site was not listed, making me worried that the inbound link isn't being seen or considered! Haven't been able to find any info on this...

What is the number of links do you require your link builder to attain each week or month? What is a reasonable goal?
Hello Mozzers... I would like to get a survey or feedback from other Mozzers who owns an SEO company or manages / hire link builders. **What is the average number of links does your link builder need to attain per week or month? what is their goal? ** I understand quality over quantity but I want to make sure there is a reasonable average to provide them goals and something to achieve on. Of course reward them more if they exceed or get .edu links. What do you institute? What do you think is fair and achievable per website? PS. There is no right or wrong answers here. I'm thinking about buying a competitor and 301 redirecting? How much SEO value?
I'm thinking about buying a competitor and 301 redirecting their site to mine. The high level stats are as follows. My site has a DA of 46 and the homepage has a PA of 55. 375 root domains, 170,000 links. The site sells millions of dollars worth of product each year. The competitor (who I had never heard of) has a DA of 58 and a homepage PA of 64. They have 634 root domains and 260,000 links. They aren't selling much of anything (less than 100,000 per year). We might be able to operate their site but I'm concerned about maintaining 2 platforms. My question is about the value of buying this site and 301 redirecting it to my site. Would this create long term SEO value or not? Any examples that have been documented are greatly appreciated.
