Speaking personally (not technically or SEO-ly) I'm not a fan of these pages. I'm the kind of guy who looks at the scrollbar to estimate how long a page is, how far through I am, etc, and when it suddenly lengthens it undermines that certainty. This is merely opinion mind you, but in my experience ecommerce users on average aren't necessarily the savviest when it comes to technology in the first place so doing something like subverting their interface expectations might not be the best move.
Another thing that bugs me about these pages, especially for something like categoric listings, is that it's hard to tell exactly how many things are listed. If I'm on page 5 out of 7 I know there's only two more pages of purses to look at and then I have to decide. With this sort of thing it just keeps going. I've also seen some implementations that just repeat the products as soon as you've gotten to the end, and that's even worse. What I find is that most online shoppers want to see everything in the list, but with that kind of structure they might never feel that.
Again, this is just 'gut feel'/opinion based and not anything specific or technical that I'm arguing against.

Thank you. I think it's best to apply to a few categories and do a heat map analyses or something similar. But As long as it doesn't effect on page SEO, it might work very well. In my opinion

@Jvalops, it varies a lot based on industry and audience. If I were you, I would do a test on the website to see if your audience likes it or not. I have seen lots of variations in the results in different product niches.

Any idea about user experience and conversions?
-
If you look at the cache version of the page, it still shows pagination and only shows the default 12 products to Google on Page 1. Therefore there's no real impact in terms of Direct SEO impact as far as "On-page" SEO ranking factors are concerned. I hope this helps.

Migrating login page from website: SEO impact
Our current login page looks like www.website.com/log-in/. We are planning to migrate it to a sub directory login.website.com. For years, our login page is the top landing with highest visits after homepage. If we migrate this now, are we going to loose traffic and drop in rankings? Thanks

Best E-Commerce Platform for Fashion Store
We run a fashion/bridal store, Fashionably Yours, and we currently use the BigCommerce e-commerce platform, however it does not allow us to implement specific features. In particular, we would like to have GIFs in the product images to display various colours/styles, and to include videos of our products at the top of the product pages. Could anyone advise of an alternative platform that would be ideal for a fashion/bridal store and that would allow us to implement these features? Thank you.

Fixing my sites problem with duplicate page content
My site has a problem with duplicate page content. SEO MOZ is telling me 725 pages worth. I have looked a lot into the 301 Re direct and the Rel=canonical Tag and I have a few questions: First of all, I'm not sure which on I should use in this case. I have read that the 301 Redirect is the most popular path to take. If I take this path do I need to go in and change the URL of each of these pages or does it automatically change with in the redirect when I plug in the old URL and the new one? Also, do I need to just go to each page that SEO MOZ is telling me is a duplicate and make a redirect of that page? One thing that I am very confused about is the fact that some of these duplicates listed out are actually different pages on my site. So does this just mean the URL's are too similar to each other, and there fore need the redirect to fix them? Then on the other hand I have a log in page that says it has 50 duplicates. Would this be a case in which I would use the Canonical Tag and would put it into each duplicate so that the SE knew to go to the original file? Sorry for all of the questions in this. Thank you for any responses.

A Not Linked Page Question
Hello, I have a page for opening an account in my website, this page is not accessible from my website menu, the only way to reach this page if you have the URL, I send the URL for specific users I want them to open an account in my system. I have two questions regarding this: does this harm or cause damages to my website SEO ? blocking this page in Robots.txt will cause any issue/will help ? waiting for your answer.

Question About Site Redesign and Nav / Page Structure
Hey guys, i am currently redesigning our company's site, and have come across some things that I'm not quite sure of. We used to have individual service pages in our main navigation (design, video, marketing) before the redesign. In this new design, i had the idea of making just one "services" or "capabilities" page, where these three services would each be outlined, and each service would have a list of links to more specific landing pages. Obviously, breaking it up correctly with HTML5 using the andtags. What I'm wondering is that if i'm going to be penalized for having those three services that aren't necessarily related too closely on the same page as opposed to having the one page for each service (like we have now). Any help would be greatly appreciated, and let me know if i need to elaborate more. Thanks in advance!

How does using a CMS (i.e. Wordpress/Drupal) affect backlinks and SEO?
So I need to build a website with over 100 pages in it. Elements of the design will probably be moved around and or tested so I need to use a CMS. It's pretty much a review site so while the content will remain static I'd like to employ A/B testing to mess with conversion rates. Wordpress has a plugin for that even. So I'm just wondering, since CMS pages are pretty much created on spot and not retrieved from a library, how this affects backlinks and anchor text? How exactly does the external website point to yours if the URL is dynamically generated? Or am I misunderstanding something? Please recommend any extra resources as well if you can.
