Duplicate Page Titles
-
I have over 200 duplicate page titles on a site that I am working on. Does putting a date at the end of some of them make it a unique enough title?
-
I think you'd want to keep your category pages in the index as these are the brand names that people are going to be searching for.
As for the the actual articles themselves - first I notice that you have articles going back to 2009. As these are date specific coupons they're not really of any value any more. I think if it was me I'd cull these and set up redirect to point any links back to the the home page.(I'd be interested to see what other think)
With so many pages, (4000+ in 2009, 6000+ in 2010) I don't think you're going to be able to easily point the articles URLs back to category pages.
As for the individual articles/offers themselves. How do these perform at the moment? How much search traffic do the individual articles get. What about the category pages?
What about inbound links? What are people linking to/sharing?

I also have another question:
Below is what I selected as no index as a setting in my wordpress options. Not sure exactly if these are correctly checked or if it needs to be adjusted.
- <label for="head[meta][robots][noindex][category]">

The blog is a Coupon site that does coupon matchups for grocery stores. The content is not necessarily important to appear on the index I am assuming. Here is an example of a post http://www.savingcentswithsense.net/2012/02/frys-grocery-store-deals-2127/
It is mainly grocery product listed with some links associated with coupons to print online...
Any suggestions on how to handle these? Does it hurt the site in rankings to no index them?
-
I'd suggest that they'd probably want to be a little more different than that. The idea is to make sure that search engines/people can easily understand and the correct page to return in the search results.
Can I ask why you've got so many and what the titles currently are?
Do you want all of these pages to appear in the index? Do they have content worth indexing?

Is it important to have the brand name in all page title?
Hi Moz community, May be this is an obvious question but as i am not sure about the answer.... I prefer to ask you! If yes, is "keywords" - "BRAND NAME " the good option? If not, is there any rule? Thanks a lot, Amaury

Is it better to keep a glossary or terms on one page or break it up into multiple pages?
We have a very large glossary of over 1000 industry terms on our site with links to reference material, embedded video, etc. Is it better for SEO purposes to keep this on one page or should we break it up into multiple pages, a different page for each letter for example? Thanks.

How to overcome blog page 1, 2, 3, etc having no or duplicate meta info?
As the above what is the best way to overcome having the same meta info on your blog pages (not blog posts) So if you have 25 blog posts per page once you exceed this number you then move onto a second blog page, then when you get to 50 you then move onto a 3rd blog page etc etc So if you have thousands f blog pages what is the best method to deal with this rather than having to write 100s of different meta titkes & descriptions? Cheers

Title Tag duplication.
Hi Guys/Gals, We do a lot of work in a very competitive space (personal injury) and are having an internal debate on the best way to implement title tags for new sites. We understand that keywords, title tags, etc., don't possess the power they once did, but we have yet to see conclusive proof of this in our space. The vast majority of competitors still rank very well for keyword focused content, title tags, etc., while having average link profiles and little content. We write a lot of content for our clients and want to know if someone can offer their opinion on the question that follows this example: "Top 5 Injuries Caused by T-Bone Collisions | Indiana Accident Lawyer" Would it seem repetitive or manipulative to construct title tags as shown, always placing "Indiana Accident Attorney" or "Indianapolis Accident Lawyer," or similar of at the end of each title tag? Thanks, gang!

Framed Pages and Dynamic Pages
Has anyone else had experience with different CMS's for Ecommerce . Ones that create static pages and others that dynamically create pages. What differences have you seen with rankings on google with the two. Here are two examples of sites using static framed pages and one with a system that dynamically creates pages - http://www.gardeningexpress.co.uk/ - static frames and http://www.floraselect.co.uk - dynamically
