Linkscape Update In Feb?
-
I have a site i just built and it has well over 2k backlinks, i seen on the schedule that linkscape was updated already. But my site still has authority of 1.
Also my pagerank increased.
-
Thanks for the clarification. I too saw it on the calendar earlier (set myself a reminder on my calendar) and was confused when I saw no changes on my sites... and then the 29th as the update.
-
Just an FYI - we're trying a bunch of stuff to see if we can get out an index earlier. Basically, a bunch of boxes doing the processing at Amazon gave out (bad hard disks), and we've been scrambling to replace them - it's a painful, manual process, and is actually making us re-think using EC2 longterm for processing.
Definitely will be updated by the 29th, might be earlier, and we're working to insure future updates are more consistent.

Linkscape was originally due to update mid-month, but did get pushed back to the 29th sometime last week.
-
I seem to remember an update saying there had been a disk problem during processing which had pushed the date back. (I may have imagined it as I can't seem to find it now!)
-
The next Linkscape update is on February 29th.

It may have been on the calendar for an earlier date, but they often change.

Why has the Historical Domain Analysis report not updated since 11th July 2013?
I find the Historical Domain Analysis report within Moz really useful but it's stopped updating for some reason. Is anyone else seeing this? When can we next expect it to update?

Website data updates
Hello All, I have downloaded some reports for "following" links from SEO Moz and no doubt the report is very comprehensive. However, I know some links listed in the reports does have rel="nofollow" tag attached to it but it is list still shown that they are following links. Can some please guide be to understand why this has happened. Is it possible that SEO Moz has old data of our site because these changes were recently done (2-3 weeks before)..? OR Have I misunderstood following as dofollow..? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks, moosa.

Why does it take so long for SeoMoz to update data?
I changed the Anchor Text of 4 40/100 MozRank sites 2 months ago, yet SeoMoz still shows the old Anchor text in the reports. Why is this taking so long? I also notice my inbound domains hasn't increased nor has my MozRank in 3-4 weeks. What's the turnaround?

How long will it take for the link analysis to be updated?
In an effort to evaluate SEOmoz I started off my free trial with a fresh website that I am going to get to rank on the first page and hopefully to the #1 spot. I have been link building and changing the website around a lot. When I created the website hosted by HostGator with wordpress installed I marked down where it showed up the first time. After checking for many days to about the 100th spot I found it in spot 65. I have since then been spending some time (not a ton of time, but enough) guest posting, some bookmarking, press release creation and some other odds and ends stuff. The page has gone up to 23rd but there have been no signs of any work done on the link analysis. So, How long does it take?

Forcing an update (revisited)
Really quite disappointed with the response to this thread: http://www.seomoz.org/q/possible-to-force-the-seomoz-ranking-report-to-update Three of us expressed an interest in this but the response was for (only) the original poster to create a ticket and the question was closed to any further discussion. Might I request that SEOMoz folks read the thread? There is a general question and three of us have requested some feedback. It is very clear that more than one person is interested in the answer Just asking one of those individuals to open a ticket and get a response for himself doesn't seem very customer-centric (well, beyond that first customer). I'd really appreciate an open and public discussion as to whether SEOMoz can support updates more than once a week and, if not now, whether it intends to in the future. Thanks. Mark

Is there a way to manually update the keyword rankings tool in SEOmoz?
It appears that our keyword rankings update weekly on Thursdays. Is this the same across the board or is there a way to manually run an update?

A suggestion to help with linkscape crawling and data processing
Since you guys are understandably struggling with crawling and processing the sheer number of URLs and links, I came up with this idea: In a similar way to how SETI@Home (is that still a thing? Google says yes: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/) works, could SEOmoz use distributed computing amongst SEO moz users to help with the data processing? Would people be happy to offer up their idle processor time and (optionally) internet connections to get more accurate, broader data? Are there enough users of the data to make distributed computing worthwhile? Perhaps those who crunched the most data each month could receive moz points or a free month of Pro. I have submitted this as a suggestion here:

Toolset Q.) Re. Linkscape - How is the External Links (link juice) calculated in the API?
Re. External Links (link-juice) - I really need to know what this reflects.Ie. linkdiagnosis.com divides the PR by external link factors to get an idea of link juice or power - how does Moz calculate this scoring?
