Creating a campaign for a folder is not possible
-
Hi There!
I just signed up for a free pro account to see whether it is something for us as a company I tried to set up two campaigns.
With the first for our root domain (koopgoedkoop.nl) it all went perfect. I am now trying to set up a campaign for our BBQ page (http://www.koopgoedkoop.nl/tuin/barbecues.html) but I can't? Is it because our URL ends with .html?
Here's a screenshot: http://bit.ly/x2zdCd Thanks for your help in advance!
Regards, Do

This why I am here for
Good luck!
(Check for those duplicates too, it can cause you some trouble if not eliminated)
-
Alright, will do. Thank you for your time!!
-
Hmm... I will tell you a less good news... There you are creating duplicate content, because it is not a redirect and you don't have a canonical neither.
Regarding the original question... I would address the helpteam regarding this one, because they can tell you in details if Roger-bot will crawl your data (as you have requested) or not. you can contact them at help@seomoz.org

Will using "http://www.koopgoedkoop.nl/tuin/barbecues/" do the job, even when the link doesn't work? (when you go to that link, you are redirected to the home). Or should our IT department first fix that the links work without the .html?
(Thank you for your patience :))

It can happen to anyone.
So first of all, with question like this you can always go to the help team, they will be more than happy to help you out and can help you step-by-step to resolve issues.
Secondary, I am happy you came to the community, because we are here to help:
I would advice you to target the /garden/ sub-folder or the http://www.koopgoedkoop.nl/tuin/barbecues/
This way you will provide Roger a sub-folder and not a single page
So instead of adding the url: http://www.koopgoedkoop.nl/tuin/barbecues.html try using http://www.koopgoedkoop.nl/tuin/barbecues/
It should do the job.

I feel really, really stupid but I have no idea what you mean with sub-folder and one page (sorry, rather new to SEO AND blonde ;-)). The page I am linking to is our BBQ category page. Is that not possible?
-
Hey Do,
You are trying to target one page and not one sub-folder, this is causing the error which Roger "detected".

Question About creating seperate websites or using a subdomain or just subfolders...Thanks!
I am working with a company who has created a reservation software...We have been advertising this software aggressively and have been doing well with companies coming on board...Let's call the company ABC and the url was ABC.com...Now they are launching a customer facing side of things that will have all the clients listed for consumers to book at their location...So an online marketplace...Like VRBO or AirBnB...They are taking the name of the software company and making it the url for the marketplace site...So now the marketplace is ABC.com and we need to figure out if we go with a new site for the software side or if we use subdomains or a subfolder.... Do we go with ABCSoftware.com - New root domain ABC.software.com - Subdomain ABC.com/software - Subfolder There are a few other intricacies with this...Not all the companies that use the software will be on the marketplace side...And people who book through the company but using the software have a url embedded on their site that books there directly...This booking costs the company less than a booking that comes through the marketplace so this needs to be kept separate... Thanks for the help everyone!

Is it possible to see if Internal Links are in the copy, nav or footer?
I've used Open Site Explorer to crawl my site for Internal Links. However I would like to see just internal links within the copy, not in the nav or footer. Is there a way of doing so that isn't manual? Or is there another tool that would do so?

How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England. This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?" I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic. I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank. Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated, Kindest regards Ben

In the hierarquical structure of the site I would like to define a campaign in a given level of that structure down to leafs. How can I define it?
I have many categories in my site and each one has others sub categorias and so on until the last categories points to products pages. I want a campaign that crawls just from a given category (or sub category) down to all produtcs pages. How can I do that? I am not sure if defining a folder would accomplish taht? Lets say I have category C, D and E. Sub categories on D are D1, D2, D3 and producs on D3 are D3P1, D3P2 and so on... How can I define a campaig on category D3 and get D3, D3P1, D3P2 crawled?

Campaign Domain "change" (www. vs no www.)
Hello, I'm tracking a domain (with www.thespin.be) since months. Last week we changed things related to domain & server and now SEOmoz has 0 pages crawled. I think that's because now my main domain is without www. (thespin.be). How can I modify my campaign to reflect this "change" (that's not really a new domain..) to avoid losing all my campaign history ? Also, on Google Webmaster Tools it's like I have 2 different sites (one with www. and another without), although I've defined my favorite domain (without www.) months ago.. Google won't update its index. And I have this problem on several other sites.. Thank you very much for giving me a feedback. Regards Jean-Louis

In the middle of Link Building campaign! Do you think Dog Blogs are a good Idea?
Hello Again, Here's I thing, my main website is my Digital Web Agency www.FenwayMedia.co.uk but I also hold good affinity with dog lovers on Facebook over 2100 friends and have a website www.Sepperro.com dedicated to my kennel of 9 racing Siberian huskies. In return I would give them exposure to my dog mediums (articles, links etc.) My only slight concern was relevance. However my thinkning is that as a Digital Agency surely you would be expected to have links coming from all sorts of sources as you "may" have had some input into the development of their site/ marketing etc. What do you guys think? Thank you once again. Kind Regards, Craig

How to setup campaign
Is it better to specify www.site.com or *site.com for SEO Moz campaign? assuming that I do not have any subdomains except www, in the Web Master tools I have selected preferred address as www.site.com and I have redirect in my .htaccess from site.com to www.site.com The reason I am asking is because I see different SeoMoz trust and other stats for root domain and www subdomain. I would think they should be the same, given the fact that I only use www?
