Anyone else hit by Panda 3.3?

or indeed any other other 40 changes Google have announced?
http://insidesearch.blogspot.com/2012/02/search-quality-highlights-40-changes.html
Unfortunately I have in a bad way. Almost exactly a year after it first happened with Panda!
I'm Angry!
-
I think I may do the same. Although the site doesn't have many thin pages, I'm gonna get rid of any that might seem unnecessary and see what happens from there.
I've really gone off Pandas
-
All of them pretty much. Competitive keywords have dropped and so have any long tails. Pretty bad state of affairs!
-
When you say:
"It's also lost site wide ranking for numerous other keywords"
...are you talking about long-tail kws, or mostly highly competitive kws? My long-tail keyword rankings haven't fallen much - it's the highly competitive, high-traffic kw rankings that have dropped.
-
I'm experiencing similar ranking drops.
- Top-5 rankings for many competitive KW phrases have dropped to page 2.
- Top-10 rankings for many competitive KW phrases have dropped at least 10 spots.
- Top-20 rankings for many competitive phrases have dropped back several pages.
I'm almost 100% sure that this is not a linking penalty. I think it's a Panda low-quality content penalty. My site has approx 200 pages. I'm going to try to clean up (remove) all pages on my site that could even conceivably be considered "low-quality", and then wait and see what happens... or maybe I should wait a month to see if Google completely reverses course again.
-
Yes, tell me about it. This site is back to the same place it was about a year ago.
It's even more frustrating to see competitors using completely black hat and spammy tactics and still sitting in positions #1 #2 and #3
-
In part yes....early February my site was hit with a penalty for "unnatural" links. Come to find out about 3 years ago prior to my involvement with the sites - there were some silly linking methods done with hidden links. I got them all cleaned up but the site is suffering from a ranking perspective which leads me to believe that there is something bigger going on.
I dropped from #2 to page 2 for a top keyword - and then back several pages for many others. Its just a bit frustrating especially after you see traffic going up and positive advancement and now back to square 1.
-
Well mainly, a site that was ranking top 4 for it's target keyword has dropped to page 2.
It's also lost site wide ranking for numerous other keywords.
As it's site wide, it seems pretty clear to me that the Panda has struck again.... Blasted Panda!

I think I have too, can you explain what you are experiencing specifically?

Does anyone know of a predictive demographics software that helps a website predict its audience based on cookies, or whatever info it has?
Hi guys, I'm looking for a predictive analytics software for better understanding our audience online. Has anyone heard of or used a software that takes the visitors currently coming to your site and uses that data to 'predict' more information about them? Such as age, location, purchasing power, etc? Please let me know if you have!

Anyone facing issues with Google Analytics today?
For some reason all pages on our site seem to be taking ages to load as they seem to be getting stuck at the "waiting for google-analytics.com"! Anyone else facing similar issues today?

Creation of Landing Pages. Subdomain or something else?
Hi, I have an issue deciding how my landing pages should be like and I would like to ask for your help. Currently my landing pages are configured and presented like this: http://www.example.com/fra/Landing75.php?t_src=example&t=AFF&t_cre=keyboard-price&t_trm=160o600&B=1496&A=371&TargetURL= I would like to know if making a subdomain landing page is advised, maybe something like this: http://LandingPage.example.com/Landing75.php?t_src=example&t=AFF&t_cre=keyboard-price&t_trm=160o600&B=1496&A=371&TargetURL= Or if you suggest doing something else with my landing pages - I would like to know that as well. p.s. - How I tell the webmasters (my affiliates) to make a clickable button that won't be a direct link to my landing page but will be some form of non-visible redirect? Thanks in advance 🙂

Post Panda SERP placement u-turn
Last week we had three terms for a client dive out of the top 100, they all ranked against a particular page, the three terms where where core words for the clients website ... strategic to his business. I assumed that it may have been due to the latest update by Google I assumed it was due to some poor inbound links to the pages (clients re sellers) and a slight abuse of anchor tags. The terms contained one keyword and two variations, a well know software brand. We ranked as high as number two, continually fighting the actual brands main website., but none the less outranking all other re-sellers. This week we are now back ranking higher for the main term (outranking the actual brands website) and the other two are back to where they ranked. Obviously I had organised to sit down with the client tomorrow to discus. Should I bury my head in the sand, rejoice at some fortune and hope the problem is not as bad as I thought, and hope the results stay static going forward ... or is this a chance to rectify those issues I saw with more clarity after the dive bomb of the three phrases last week. Has anyone else noticed anything similar ? Offer any advice ? Cheers John

Does anyone know the percentage of searchers that use wildcards in their queries?
I am trying to figure out the number of searchers that use wildcards (*) in their searches. I cannot find much information about a percentage or even ballpark figure. If there is not information on that, what is the percentage of users that use the 'advanced search' options? I am guessing the numbers would be semi-similar. Thanks!

Why would my Bounce Rate drop from 40% to 2% over 3 days without making any major changes to my site www.hiltonhead.com?
Our Wordpress site has had an historical bounce rate of 40% for the last 3 years but last Thursday it dropped to 17%, Friday to 7% and now is running at 2%. The pageviews per visit have also increased from 3 to almost 6. Thanks
