Conversion Software
-
Can someone please suggest a conversion software other than omniture that I can used to track the amount of revenue a specific keyword is bringing into my company?
Is there a way that I can do this using Google Analytics? I know in omniture there is a feature that shows you what the specific keyword is bringing in x amount of dollars. Can you guys recommend any other software that can do this?

Yes, you can track revenue to a specific keyword using Google Analytics. The most thorough way to do this is to implement e-commerce tracking. Google's documentation for this process is here: http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/gaTrackingEcommerce.html#Guidelines
That allows you to record both the transaction totals and the specific items included in the order. If that's more info than you need, you can use event tracking to dynamically set a goal value. To do that, you would just add this line of code on your checkout confirmation page:
_gaq.push([``'_trackEvent'``,
'Cart'``,
'Checkout'``,
'Success'``, 40]);
Just dynamically insert the cart value (as an integer) where 40 is in the code and that will record a new event in Google Analytics that includes the value of the order.
Then, within Google Analytics, set up goal tracking based on the occurrence of an event (Cart Checkout Success). When you configure the goal, make sure you select "Use the actual Event Value" for the "Goal Value" option.

There are a lot of other conversion testing tools out there besides Omniture. Unfortunately, Analytics is not one of them. If you'd like to go the free route with Google then you can their Website Optimizer, but it's not very accurate and you can't do full scale testing with it. If you're willing to spend a little money, here are some other popular conversion testing tools:
Kiss Metrics
Visual Website Optimizer
OptimizelyI've also heard Optimizely isn't that accurate though. I'd stick to Kiss Metrics and Visual Website Optimizer. They both come highly recommended. I use Visual Website Optimizer.

Google Analytics may be able to do that for you depending on what type of site/conversion you have. Will you respond back and let me know if you are an ecommerce site, lead gen, or other type of site? I can point you in the right direction with that information. Thanks

Attribution model - the weighted number of conversions - GA
Hi, 1.Can someone explain me with an example what is "The weighted number of conversions under the custom selected attribution model"? How Analytics calculate it? 2. If I increase e.g social source for 1.4 in my attribution model, my organic or direct source are loosing that weighted number of conversions. Could it be because of organic or direct getting lower credit, or for some other reason? Ty. Br.

Increase conversion rate to buy
I am trying to understand why my women fashion site has a very low conversion, basically zero apart from some occasional sales (last one a few months ago) There is a lack of organic traffic the to shop subdomain, but what worries me is that (email/social media) campaigns to existing clients who happily buy repeatedly from our brick and mortar store do not generate results, despite using promotion codes etc. Before investing heavily in PPC campaigns etc, I'd like to improve conversion. Any advice on what can be improved ? PD: link can be found in my profile.

Google Remarketing Conversions - Possible Issue
Hi All, When it comes to Google Adwords, when considering conversions, Google assigns each conversion back to the click that originally drove that visitor on the day they clicked. so, even if someone converts today, Google would show that conversion as occurring two weeks ago when the visitor originally clicked on a paid search ad and came to my site. fine...whatever. My question now is if we use a remarketing campaign through the Display Network, and someone converts, will that conversion be shown under their new visit or back on their original click where they did not originally convert, causing them to be included in our remarketing audience? Cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere and hoping someone out there has some guidance.

Google Product Ads - Improving our Cost Per Conversion?
Hi all, We have been running Google Product Ads (paid for) ever since it began in the UK. We are still struggling to get to grips with the best way to make it worthwhile for us. Our data for the last 14 days:
Conversion Rate Optimization | | complete_outdoors
Clicks: 1827
Impressions: 65789
CTR: 2.78%
Average CPC: £0.22
Cost Per Conversion: £15.13 We've added some auto targets for our most popular brands, with a higher CPC than "all products". We've also added negative keywords so we only come up with relevant searches. Basically, what we'd like to know is: how we can best set-up our product ads to reduce our Cost Per Conversion (I guess everyone would like to do that!), as it is barely worth us using it currently. If you require any further data to help answer my question, please ask. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.0 -

How to Improve Conversions?
One of our two prime goals is to increase visitor --> shopping cart --> order conversions. I would appreciate any advice on how we could improve our conversions from product pages like this one: http://www.audiobooksonline.com/Alex-Cross-Run-James-Patterson.html All our product pages are presented in the same format.

Clicks versus Conversions
Have had a significant amount of success getting clicks to my site through a number of online marketing methods. Still falling a bit short on conversions. Any thoughts on the types of things that are successful to get people to contact you?

Weeding out irrelevant analytical data to see truer conversion rates
Here is the scenario. We have many brick and mortar store locations as well as an ecommerce website. It's hard to get exact, but my estimates seem to be that approximately 1/3 of the visitors to our website are interested only in obtaining information about the brick and mortar store locations and not interested in ecommerce transactions. Of course this kills the conversion rate. We use google analytics and I'd like to somehow be able to quantify with more accuracy what the "real" conversion rate might be. Is there some method to weed out specific pages/traffic (like brick and mortar landing pages) from being taken into account when conv. rate is calculated? The number that matters for conv. rate of course is "visits" and not unique pageviews, so I'm not sure that really would do anything helpful. Any tips?
