Link Builder Freelance/Agency in Italy_
-
Hi!
We are looking for a link builder freelance or an SEO agency specialized in link building for the Italian market.
Could you recommend any? Did anyone have any experience with a good Italian agency/freelance?
Thanks!

We're active in the Italian market, if you need any pointers let me know

Best of luck to you both. Sounds like a great opportunity for some US link builders to relocate and familiarize themselves with a new market.

Ah...
dear Anthony, thanks for the recommendation, but actually I'm already involved with Jorge in this search

SEOmoz associate Gianluca would be a great person to talk to. If he personally can't help you out, I'm sure he could recommend a few other options.

Hi, The direct traffic to website www.webgain.dk has increased by over 2100% recently. I can see that most of it is from US (my target audience is in Denmark and the website is in danish).

What can I do about this? All this traffic gives my website a bounce rate of 99.91% for direct traffic. I believe it is some sort of bot/crawler. 2100percentboost.png0 -
What are the best practices for translation of city/state names for international SEO? (ie. New York in English vs. Nueva York in Spanish)
I'm working on international SEO / translation of a global travel site. While we have a global keyword research and translation strategy in process for each market they serve, I've run into a unique question. Overall, we are translating (and localizing) content for each market but aren't sure what to do with location names. Each country/state has cities and locations that have their own dedicated pages. I see three options for these location names (when titling a page and writing content): keep them in English, translate the names in the market languages, or use a combination of the two. The challenge with altering the location names to the market languages is that they are truly not known by those names. Though there are some instances where it may make sense…for instance **New York **in Spanish would be "Nueva York" with **‘**Nueva' being the Spanish translation of ‘new’. There are other instances, where no translation exists. If you’ve had a similar experience I'd love to hear your approach/recommendation.

Opensite explorer results and old links
Hello, Within a week after the penguin update (Apr. 24), I removed all site wide footer links pointing to my site. However, if I run a opensite explorer on this site I still see these links pointing to my site. And I'm sure I deleted them! How long will it take that these links disappear from the opensite explorer results? Do you think Google's algorithm has the same results to check my website on? Or does the algorithm have another "tool"? Thank you. Regards, Thomas

Multi Language / target market site
What is the best way to deal with multiple languages and multiple target markets? Is it better to use directories or sub-domains: English.domain.com Portuguese.domain.com Or Domain.com Domain.com/Portuguese Also should I use language meta tags to help the different language versions rank in different geographic areas e.g. Are there any examples of where this has been done well?

Outsourcing development to external agencies
We are a large charitable organisation which has not paid too much attention to SEO guidelines in the past and as such have a number of websites that have been built by external development agencies. The question that we would like to ask is how this is affecting our SEO. The sites that have been built previously have been created on subdomains and we know that this is an issue. Subdomains are considered separate sites by the Search Engines and not all equity is passed from the subdomains to our main sites, especially as our internal link structure is poorly constructed. However if we had put the sites under our main website URL in subfolders would we still be reducing our page rank and link equity as the pages are hosted by the companies that built them often in a different programming language (Open Source rather than Enterprise) and sometimes in a different country. One company that we asked to build pages for us recently said that it was no problem with SEO because they would put the content in an iFrame to one of our main domain URL in a subfolder but I know that iFrames pass all link equity to the company where the site is actually located/hosted. What are the brilliant SEOMOZs communities thoughts on this? Thanks very much. EDIT - 1100hrs. Thanks to all the responses so far, but we've not quite got to the root of the issue - sorry it's probably the way I've phrased the question. Essentially we host our own website but our internal team does not have the resource to build all the functionality required by the business. So if we need a platform that manages our events or a platform that manages our community it has to be built externally then integrated into our existing structure as it would cost too much / take too long / potentially don' t have the expertise to do internally. External companies tend to have the best functionality but then we are directing our visitors to their sites. So we are asking them to integrate their sites into ours for an extra fee but what we are trying to find out is whether or not this is worth it in terms of search equity for our site if we only lose visitors once they have arrived at our site and are then directed off...?
