Keywords and Getting Started with them to the top of the Search Engines
-
We are an online Saas Based startup. Strongly 70% of our daily users come directly to us since they know us by the url .
Now there these 30% who scout for software's like ours online. Get to us by some hook or crook and then maybe end up giving the trial a shot.
Our Main site is only of say 5-6 pages. These pages have basic info about our product , pricing and contact etc.
What I wish to understand is that when one says" getting those keywords to the top of the engines rankings" who do you mean by these - I presume one means that get the keywords you want to compete for and then push in "Adwords" or better content pages?
So If I want to rank well - then my websites should have good content pages you mean? Is that correct-? That means now I have to write good content on those keywords or around those keywords- without that there is no hope to come on good on engines right? Correct me here if I sway away from the actual meaning.
Next I wish to have campaigns setup in google adwords keeping in mind those competitive keywords - here again does content on my website play a role? If I have no content and then have google adwords setup does that help? Please advice
How long before I add good content pages and expect them to show up in my analytics etc?
Thanks

Great thanks for the advice. So now I suppose good quality content increase the quality score which in turns helps in lower CPC
For the crawl diagnostics I see a couple of error , warnings and notices - how Important are these to correct so that I have a good stand on the SEO for my website?
Some of them are :** Long url characters,Duplicate page title,Temporary redirect,Permanent redirect, Rel canonical.**
I also ran the keyword difficulty analysis for some of my keywords am planning to improve content on.
The test show difficulty levels from 1% - 61% for multiple of these keywords. How do I measure low, medium and high difficulty?
Search volumes for a lot of these say " Not enough data" - should I interpret this as those keywords for which I should not work on the getting the content better? Or these keywords are not that popularly searched?
Could you kindly throw some light upon the above questions . Thanks

When people say get to the top of Google, they mean SEO. SEOMOZ is all about that. On here we really don't talk much about Adwords. I love Adwords and I am great at it, but I don't think many people here are as interested in hearing about Adwords.
Yes have good content for SEO. In fact, write some SUPER KICKASS content. Use the keywords in your content, BUT don't overdo it.
"Next I wish to have campaigns setup in google adwords keeping in mind those competitive keywords - here again does content on my website play a role? If I have no content and then have google adwords setup does that help? Please advice"
Answer YES! Your quality Score if affected. Low quality score = Higher CPC. Higher Quality Score = Less CPC.
"How long before I add good content pages and expect them to show up in my analytics etc?"
I don't understand that sentence. If you mean how long your content will take to show up in the SERPS, normally on the next crawl. "IF" someone visits your new content page, then it'll take about 2 hours to report in GA.

How do we find keyword opportunities - but not just against 3 competitors...
Hello everyone! How can I find out what might be a keyword opportunity against a competitor but make sure it's still a realistic opportunity in SERPS generally?* After all, we are not just competing with 2 or 3 competitors. We are competing against everyone! Perhaps there is a part of the keyword research process that helps? I can't help but think there's a wasted effort to just beat a couple of competitors unless you can rank well generally - especially if it's a competitive sector. (*I'm not in the position of making lots of pages as part of a long-tail keyword/ content strategy so I need to focus on just a few and make them count) Thanks in advance. Mp

How to break into a serp dominated by large companies? (but low keyword difficulty)
I'm currently doing some keyword research, and on favourable keywords such as: "weekend breaks in lake district" (320 searches per month with 39% keyword difficulty), I see that all of the first page SERPS are from larger companies (last minute, centerparcs etc) How likely will it be that I can get on that first page, assuming I am focusing my page on that particular keyword. Sparse info I know, but I didn't want to spend hours going down a dead end street. Is it simply that these larger companies are in the top 10 because there are no specific pages targeting that keyword, or do I have little chance?

Moz Rank Moz Trust and Authority higher than my competitor but still getting outranked
Hi There, I'm new to SeoMoz but ive been using it for the past month and I've been using the tools to try to optimize my site but for some reason even though my metrics are showing that my rank and authority are rising past my competitor they still rank higher in the searches. my website is the site on the far left with the domain authority @27. the competitor that keeps outranking me is the third from the left with a domain authority of 12. If anyone can advise as to why I'm being outranked that would be very helpful. I'm stumped here. Thanks guys! eYtMRr9.png

What keywords would you suggest for interesting concept?
Not sure if it's OK to ask just about anything as long as it is relevant, but I would love to hear thoughts about good keywords to promote an app that will make it easy to migrate/move phone data and files - contacts, photos, music, calendars - from one phone - like a BB, iPhone or WinMo - to an Android phone or device? I'm having the darnest time coming up with phrases that people who are searching for such an app would use? Thanks

How do I find the best converting keywords
I rank decently on local search for some of my keywords but find that the traffic coming to my site is not from those keywords. I also find that they never convert to sales queries. Is someone able to help me out with that? Thanks My domain is www.hykano.com
