Yes, really looking for an agency that can do the research required and who have experience with distribution etc.
-
You can find someone on elance or odesk to do the design but you are better off going with a company like 97th floor or a infographic company that can make something that will spread (look at past work)- make sure to ask if they have relationships to help push it also

Rebranding & Responsive design. What first? Or do both at the same time?
We are planning a rebranding in January 2017. For us this means: redirects from root domain A.com to B.com on all our pages. Besides that we are planning to restyle our website to a responsive design in the beginning of November 2016. Now we a desktop website and a separate mobile website. So from our mobile website every URL will be redirected to a non-mobile variant. Both strategies will have impact on SEO, but should be positive on the long term. Now, what would YOU do: start with responsive design in November and do a new 'redirect session' after 2 months for the rebranding? Or do both at the same time?

Changing domain name and site design while recovering from penguin? Still SEO power in EMDs?
Our website recently suffered from a penguin update courtesy of some black hat techniques used by an SEO company we hired a few years ago. We are working on cleaning up and disavowing the old spammy links, but at the same time this penalty has hit us while we were working on making some major changes to our website. As a law firm we have 2 separate practice websites we are planning to merge under 1 domain to help boost our local results. Our problem is that the domain names for each practice are specific to the type of law they practice, so we will have to move both practices to a branded name domain that works for both practices. I thought since traffic was already affected because of the penguin update this might be an opportune time to change the domain name, but since I am far from an expert at SEO I'm wondering if there are variables I am unaware of that might make this decision a very bad one. Also we currently have exact match domains for our two different sites -- the way I understand it EMDs don't carry the same SEO weight they once did, but the firm is worried that losing the EMDs is going to cause a dramatic drop in traffic. If we keep the EMDs but permanently redirect them to the new site, will it maintain their SEO value? Would google consider that black hat and possibly penalize us for it in the future? Thanks for any advice or insight!!

Need a full web design TEAM.
I'm an SEO manager for a company in Los Angeles. You can see our website here: https://opiates.com. I've been at the company for about 3 months, and in that time we've almost had our website re-done twice. It is badly in need of an overhaul in terms of design and navigation, but at the same time we can't afford to lose the organic traffic that we currently have. Does anyone have recommendations for web development firms that can take on a BIG project and work with me to preserve the SE traffic that we currently have? Thanks

Responsive web design should I bother? If it isn’t broke don’t fix it?
One of my new businesses is letting holiday cottages and on a few occasions expert web designers have suggested that I should have a redesign because my Dreamweaver website is looking dated and maybe not the best navigation system. The website started off a couple of years ago with one cottage owned by me and I designed the website and I’m certainly not the professional by any means. http://www.endeavourcottage.co.uk/ The only reason I have not invested in a redesign ( although I’m thinking of it once again seriously at the moment ) is because the website has developed into a small letting agency now with eight properties and it’s doing okay with reasonably good search engine listings achieving good occupancy rates on most of the properties. The feedback from people booking cottages is often complimentary regarding how they visualise the properties. I get the feeling this could be because the subject of this website is old world cottages in at old characterful fishing port and possibly the people booking holidays like the personal unpolished website approach, rather than the larger faceless but professionally designed agencies websites, if you get my meaning. In the future of the company grows I can see how will have no choice but have professional template and navigation structure that maybe at this stage it’s just not worth doing? I’ve attached a snapshot of my analytics which shows that when social media like Facebook traffic look at the website there is slightly more people are using mobiles and desktop computers but they seem to stay a similar period of time a look at a similar number of pages so there must be finding site navigation reasonable. What do you think would you go for a redesign at this stage and if so what would be the major advantages? analytics.JPG

Sites we can submit web design news to...
Hey Mozzers - happy 2013 to one and all, I hope everyone had a great festive season! Now we're all back into the swing of things, we're in the process of getting our new website up and running. We're a web and graphic design agency, and I'm putting together checklists to ensure we get new projects some coverage where deserved. There will be a different checklist for the different disciplines - brand design, packaging, web design and so on. For many of these disciplines, there are multiple news sites that we can reach out to when we have relevant stories - Dieline for packaging, for example. But for web design, any searches I do either show up CSS Galleries / portfolios (which I already have on the checklist under another section) or web tutorial sites. I don't seem to be able to find decent, trustworthy sites that exclusively feature web news. I'm sure they exist and it's just a case of 'can't see for looking', but does anyone know of decent sites that carry news stories about new websites going live? Obviously we know not every new site will be newsworthy - and indeed we wouldn't try to submit every new site we have go live for that very reason - but it would be good to have a clutch of high authority, well visited sites to turn to when we do have something of note. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks Mozzers!

Do you think my simple design website reflects my product better or worse?
Its been suggested my holiday cottage letting website maybe could do with a professional polish up and maybe restructure and navigation and if it would improve bookings I wouldn't hesitate. My only thought pattern is that this particular website is certainly not high-tech (this website was designed by me in Dreamweaver) I have a great guy working for me which is much better web design than me and technically more capable of producing a professional standard website, but with this new sideline I'm presently a small home-based company currently only letting eight old cottages. My thinking was keep the website simple, personal and homely for the moment. http://www.endeavourcottage.co.uk/ The website tends to be competing against large agencies which have often hundreds of properties on their books and you have to go through their filtering system to find the small number of properties that might be of interest. I can see that if I was selling large quantities of electrical equipment or something similar you just in a very polished well-designed website. The feedback I get from customers is that like the website and they like to know they can get hold of the person behind it. Which direction would you go? polished professional company styled WordPress website or simple design website with lots of pictures and descriptions. If I ever hit the big time and have hundreds of cottages I would have to join the design and more complicated navigation of the other agencies websites but whilst I’m small maybe not? Thanks for reading Alan

How can I make this into an infographic
Hello, A client of mine really wants an infographic or a visual for viral marketing. Our site: nlpca(dot)com The subject is "What is NLP?". This page has the best NLP definition - we can use the content with permission: http://www.nlpu.com/NewDesign/NLPU_WhatIsNLP.html Would this work as an infographic? Can you give me suggestions (this is my first infographic. I've been doing web design for about 15 years and SEO for 8 years) How could I make this thing really popular in our niche "NLP"? Thank you.

Best Way To Distribute Infographics?
Hello, I am looking to get into the benefits of link-building through using info-graphics, and I wondered if anyone knew of a good info-graphic distribution service. I know there has surely got to be a service out there like Prnewswire or PrWeb, only “designed for info graphics” instead of press releases. However, as of yet I have not been able to find anything. I am aware that there are info graphic directories out there and forums like myblogguest that allow you to post info graphics, and of course pinterest type sites. However, I have not found a dedicated info graphic syndication service yet. Does anyone know of a good one? Or perhaps just have other good advice with their success of marketing info-graphics?
