I was wondering if SEOmoz has any tools for finding longtail keywords

Hi all!
I'm new to the community and to SEOmoz, so there is definitely a chance I am misusing the already available tools. And I was sure to do a search for "longtail tools" before posting this question. But, does SEOmoz have any available tools for researching and suggesting longtail to target? ...similar to what HubSpots tool does

I don't know of one here at SEOmoz. I use the Google Adwords tool and WordTracker.

Thank you so much for the detailed and accurate responses. While your answers were very insightful --and really answered some questions I had not even known to ask-- I was really just trying to see if SEOmoz had a tool similar to HubSpot's that does all of that longtail research for you. I'm unsure if anybody is familiar with the tool I am referencing, but put simply, you enter the root and it returns a gambit of longtails that you should be targeting (calculated by volume of search and level of competition).

Here is what I do if I want to pull in traffic for a ton of long tail queries.
I decide upon the root keyword for the article and do research on that keyword to discover the RELATED topics that people are googling.
Let's say that my keyword is widgets and I use the google keyword tool and learn that people are searching for...
different types of widgets
who makes them
what they are made from
what color are they
history of widgets
etc. etc. etc.Then I write an article that addresses everything that everybody everywhere is asking for about widgets IN SUBSTANTIVE CONTENT.
Each of these subtopics for widgets is included on the page as subheadings
or
and described thoroughly with photos, illustrations, tables of data.
That is the start of a potentially killer page.
Google knows what people are asking for and they can recognize when content covers all of those details in a substantive, rich beyond text presentation.
I believe that people who have produced best-on-the web content that is substantive and complete will agree with me.
If you want an example look at a wikipedia page for a topic such as "Philadelphia".
An article like that can pull in fantastic traffic for the topic - even if you don't rank anywhere for "Philadelphia".

I would definitely suggest connecting your google analytics account and that'll give you a lot of keyword info.

Keyword Planning and Site Architecture
Hi all, I'd like to know your thoughts on keyword planning and site architecture. I thought it was best practice to structure your website so specific pages target certain keywords. The titles, meta desc. and content on these pages should be unique to that page. I've had good success ranking pages this way. But! How come so often you'll see a website that has no keyword planning ranking so well? Let's take the example: "Bamboo Sheets". A top ranking website in my country sells all kinds of bamboo bedding, including sheets, towels, pillow cases, etc. They have "Bamboo Sheets" in the title & meta description for the main category page (www.store.com/bamboo-sheets) - which is where it should be. But then I see it again on the homepage title & meta (www.store.com) and other pages of the website. So why aren't they cannibalizing their own pages? And why do they blog about Bamboo Sheets and not cannibalize the keyword from there? Is landing page optimization just a myth? It seems entire websites built around a keyword rank just as well, and in most cases, much better than sites with keyword specific landing pages. If you only sell one product this isn't a problem, but for websites that offer multiple products or services, it's incredibly frustrating when trying to compete. It's like Google still gives a lot of authority to keyword rich domain names and business names. Thoughts?

Brand Name Keyword Stuffing
I'm targeting Roho Cushions and the category page has many products starting with Roho underneath it. I know the keyword "Roho" shows up at least 70 times. I'm not targeting the keyword Roho, but could this negatively effect the rest of my keywords that start with Roho, such as "Roho Wheelchair Cushions"?

Keywords and Rank Checker Tool
Two questions about checking the rank of keywords. The easiest way to say this is by example. I have a keyword that SEOMOZ ranks on google in the 32nd position but when I look for that keyword in Google it's nowhere to be found (it's buried deep in the results pages somewhere). Where does SEOMOZ get its keyword results from? How do I non-localize my browser so I can see "global" keyword results? Is there such a thing? thanks in advance.
