What are your thoughts on Twylah and SEO?

I recently signed up for Twylah. If you are not familiar with it, Twylah creates a summary of all your tweets, which you can then add to your site to make them easily accessible for humans and for search engines.
On first glance I am really liking this idea, however after adding Twylah to our site, our crawl diagnostics took a major spike in errors and alerts:

I am not a SEO expert, but the number of errors is worrying me. Are we getting penalized by Search Engines/Google because of the high number in errors/alerts?
Curious to hear your thoughts.

Ben, the easiest way to give visitors the "experience" of the Twylah page without endangering your SEO as much would be to link to the page as it's hosted on Twylah's own domain instead of your own. The pages look exactly the same, just the URL of the link and the in address bar would be different.
i.e.. www.twylah.com/yourusrname instead of tweets.yourdomain.com

I came across this whilst reaching out to people on my new google plus account and I came across a counsellor using it in Canada. I loved the way that it looked and I can totally see how people it might be great for usability but not sure about wanting duplicate content readouts etc. Would there be a way of having a Twylah account but setting the content so Google would not index it? That way no showings for duplicate content and people who like using the platform to view twitter interactions get the great experience?

Unfortunately, I don't know the Twylah system, but Google is indexing 138 pages from your main site and 1,650 (about 12X your main site) from the "tweets." sub-domain. I strongly suspect that this is going to look like thin content, and when it's overpowering your main site's content, you could see really SEO problems.
I'm not sure what the goal is, but I doubt the gains from this system will offset the losses. If it's valuable to users, no problem. From an SEO perspective, though, I strongly doubt this is beneficial.

I've long had a gripe with how Twylah is claiming SEO benefits for their branded pages.
- Twylah pages exists at a subdomain which means that, for ranking purposes, it is a completely separate site and so must try to rank on its own
- Few are likely to spend any effort building links to that subdomain, so it will probably never rank well (especially considering it's on-page issues like dupe content and dupe titles)
- Even if it starts to gain a small amount of authority, there are so many links on each page (as the crawl pointed out) that any links back to your main site will pass so little "juice" as to be essentially worthless.
- I've seen lots of people get excited about how many pages of their Twylah subdomain get indexed, but nobody's talking about those pages getting or sending any actual traffic (aside from those who use a "supertweet" occasionally)
Twylah pages can be useful for a number of things - in my opinion SEO isn't one of them. Twylah folks should stop touting it for that.

Yes, mainly "Duplicate Page Content" and "Duplicate Titles" went up.
Prior to adding Twylah we only had a few errors here and there.
I have reached out to the Twylah team and they are currently looking into this.

Have any other warnings besides the too many on-page links gone up? That page has over 270 links. Each tweet has 3-4 links, plus the directory at the bottom with 26 links, etc.
Visually, it looks nice. I'm going to ask someone else on the SEO aspect of things, but my initial thought is that I wouldn't worry an excessive amount if it's really only the too many links on the page errors that have increased.

What is the optimum schema for a Website and how important is it really is for SEO?

As you all probably has seen Google has changed their structure testing tool and alongside that has also changed what is considered as valid and not valid. I have been struggling with this question for quite a while now where opinions are really split. **1. How important is Schema for SEO? **
2. How far should you go Schema'ing your website pages? From the one hand i can see how it can be easier for a BOT to read a code that has proper "road signs" (our schemas markups), on the other hands, Google is already extremely clever is working out what is the header, sidebar or footer as well as review and or a blog posts (especially for those of us who use Wordpress. Would love to know if someone has seen a "Like to Like" show case with schemas and/or have some factual information regarding what should or shouldn't be done when it comes ot Schema. Dan. x1aw0 -
AJAX and SEO
Hello team, Need to bounce a question off the group. We have a site that uses the .NET AJAX tool kit to toggle tabs on a page. Each tab has content and the content is drawn on page load. In other words, the content is not from an AJAX call, it is there from the start. The content sits in DIV tags which the javascript toggles - that's all. My customer hired an "SEO Expert" who is telling them that this content is invisible to search engines. I strongly disagree and we're trying to come to a conclusion. I understand that content rendered async via an AJAX call would not be spidered, however just using the AJAX (Javascript) to switch tabs will not affect the spiders finding the content in the markup. Any thoughts?

Reciprocal links / seo satellite
Hi guys, I am reasonably new to SEO. We operate a site. Lets call it brand.com. I would like to build up SEO juice and traffic for our site reasonably quickly, but with a view to not harming us in the long term. There are a large number of very small blogs in our space (> 100). Many of them are private blogs. I would like to gain links from these blogs. None of these blogs will send large amounts of traffic to our site on an individual basis, but in sum they provide both decent traffic and SEO juice. Leaving SEO out of mind I would offer them all returning links in exchange for linking to our blog (brand.com/blog) or our main domain (brand.com). They are decent quality sites that may be of interest to our users. They are not competitors and will not take any of our business away. Problem: I want to avoid being punished by Google for link exchange. In an ideal world I would event like to profit from these links from a SEO perspective. I have thought of a work around, but am not sure whether this will work at all. I will create 3 satellite pages: brand-partners.com, brand-tips.com and brand-blog-roll.com. I will feature links to these three sites prominently on my main site and my blog. This will provide these three sites with some SEO juice and trust from bloggers. In return for linking to my site, I will offer the small blogs links from these three "satellite" pages. I will try to diffuse the picture by adding some random links and obtaining some random links that I don't link back to. My approach is to always provide value to our users. Apart from the diffusing bit above I would say that creating these small hubs provides value (as we recommend valuable sites), while still enabling us to have some SEO effect. As I am reasonably new to SEO, I don't know whether the above is already a standard tactic employed or whether it contains some horrible pitfall that I should be aware of.
