Keyword Difficulty Score Not Available

What exactly does this mean? That the service is down? Or the score will never be available?
It seems like I get that and then the tool gets stuck and I get no other data.

Hi Johnathan,
We know that it is down, and we're working on it. I thought that the messaging was changed to let people know it would be longer than 20 minutes. I'm not sure of the current ETA for a fix now, but we are working on it, and have been all weekend. We're keeping the Twitter feed updated when we have information, and you're also welcome to create a help ticket -- we'll let you know when it's fixed if you do that.

today is day 4 I just tried again. Will try again in 20 minutes which is what the response is when I tried. try again in 20 minutes.

They are aware of the issue. Their twitter stream https://twitter.com/SEOmoz has a tweet from 8/31 about the issue:
"Uh oh. It looks like our Keyword Difficulty Tool is having some.... difficulty. We're working on it now. Stay tuned, friends."
So they are working on it! It is labor day weekend so it may take em a little extra time to get it up and going.
In the meantime, if you are in dire need of KW difficulty, you can get some basic insight the following ways:
Use Google Keyword Tool and look at the "Competition" level. While this area refers to competition within Adwords - this can also give you a basic idea of how competitive the keyword is overall. If it's a highly competitive Adwords term, chances are likely that SEOs are after it organically as well.
Do a quick check of the organic SERPs and check out the domains in the top placements or even on the entire first page. Are these really high authority domains, how well optimized are they, etc.

The attached image shows the Keyword Ranking History with big downward spirals on Aug 27 and Sep 24th. Yet it's also showing up within the #10-#20 row. Needing to know how to find out the page rank of a URL that is NOT within the top 50 or top 100. Need to know that specific page's rank, not what our overall site's ranking for the keyword is. Can't seem to find any tool that goes beyond the top 100. Any ideas?

How do you explain this in this Keyword Difficulty Report?
Hello here, I am trying to understand how my site virtualsheetmusic.com can better compete for the keyword "sheet music download" where we used to be 3rd until a few months ago, and now we are at the 5th spot. But here is my specific question: I can't find an explanation why two of our competitors are ranked before us at the 3rd and 4th spot. Please, look at the attached image (very wide) which shows the Keyword Difficulty Report for this keyword. You can also download a PDF of it here below: http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/storage/keyword-sheet-music-download.pdf We are at the 5th spot, and the two competitors highlighted in pink are the ones I am talking about: I am trying to understand why they are ranking better than us, despite our metrics look much better than theirs. In fact, if I look at the metrics in the report, I can't find an explanation to justify their outrank against us, so there must be something else that the report is missing. Campaign Keyword Overview?
This may be more of a developmental comment, however... Is there any way to pull an overview of keyword ranking over the week (or any period of time) for one of your campaigns? It looks like you can pull graphs on individual keyword performance, however not for the full set of keywords for a campaign. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this within Pro Moz... or is it best to compile the keyword data every week and track it in Numbers or Excel? Thanks everyone!

hi all, we've done a bit of SEO over the years for our site, and are looking to pick things up this year and spend more time on SEO. first off, we are working on revising our keyword list & would like to view what keywords specific competitors are ranking for and try to target those keywords as well. is this possible via SEOmoz (similar to spyfu)? please let me know if you feel this is a good first step in picking up our SEO efforts for the new year. i've been looking at the research tools & is seems the Keyword Difficulty Tool hasn't been fully functional for the past week or so ("Our Keyword Difficulty Tool is having issues displaying AdWords API data. We are working with the AdWords API folks to get a fix soon!"). also, i noticed i can enter competitor sites in open site explorer & compare link metrics, but i don't see anywhere to compare keyword metrics. is there something i'm missing? thanks again everyone!

Why have my rankings dropped on my keyword report but there is no change for the same keywords on google??
I received a keyword ranking report over the weekend, was horrified to see some of my keywords have dropped ranks by 20+ for some 😮 I checked them on google and they haven't moved (confused.com) Any information would be greatly appreciated.
