Keyword Difficulty Score Not Available

What exactly does this mean? That the service is down? Or the score will never be available?
It seems like I get that and then the tool gets stuck and I get no other data.

Hi Johnathan,
We know that it is down, and we're working on it. I thought that the messaging was changed to let people know it would be longer than 20 minutes. I'm not sure of the current ETA for a fix now, but we are working on it, and have been all weekend. We're keeping the Twitter feed updated when we have information, and you're also welcome to create a help ticket -- we'll let you know when it's fixed if you do that.

today is day 4 I just tried again. Will try again in 20 minutes which is what the response is when I tried. try again in 20 minutes.

They are aware of the issue. Their twitter stream https://twitter.com/SEOmoz has a tweet from 8/31 about the issue:
"Uh oh. It looks like our Keyword Difficulty Tool is having some.... difficulty. We're working on it now. Stay tuned, friends."
So they are working on it! It is labor day weekend so it may take em a little extra time to get it up and going.
In the meantime, if you are in dire need of KW difficulty, you can get some basic insight the following ways:
Use Google Keyword Tool and look at the "Competition" level. While this area refers to competition within Adwords - this can also give you a basic idea of how competitive the keyword is overall. If it's a highly competitive Adwords term, chances are likely that SEOs are after it organically as well.
Do a quick check of the organic SERPs and check out the domains in the top placements or even on the entire first page. Are these really high authority domains, how well optimized are they, etc.

Can we disavow all spammy looking sites in OSE with a spam score of 5 or above?
Hello, We'd like to use OSE to make a disavow list. Can we just go through everything with a spam score of 5 or higher that looks like spam when we visit the site and disavow all of them? I'll be using Moz pro, are there any other free tools that I can utilize? What do I keep in mind? Thanks!

Keyword Research and Planning Flow
Hello, First post here. I am a IT infrastructure engineer that does application and deployment work mostly, but new to SEO. That being said, I am a firm believer in demming wheel and defined process/flow charts. I have a website up, built as best practice, its a Magento CE open source Ecommerce store. After some initial research, it seems I really need to define my keywords before I start branding my landing pages and such. So i am going to have to go back and implement the keywords and evaluate. But as I am reading it seems most SEO people try their keywords in google ad words first? Then implement? I am hoping to find some flow or process sheets on how successful Keyword research is done via step by step process and evaluation. And explanations of each. How many keywords to start with per landing page, how many to try and get in the H1 headers, paragraphs, URL. How long to leave keywords in to test? Also, I am a start up company that is competing with the big boys in my market space. I know I cant compete for the big keywords in my market? What is my best strategy for getting any kind of ranking as a small business in a global market? SEO is a mysterious, intriguing thing to me! Keyword Rankings Compare to X not working
Anyone else having trouble with the compare your keyword positions with competitors section of the analytics? The rankings for my site(s) are fine but whichever competitor I click on to compare rankings to just returns 'Not in Top 50' the competitor is ranking. I have just manually checked and they are very much listed in the engine. Is this tool broken?

Keyword Difficulty Tool Ranking
I'm using the keyword difficultly tool to help me create a a list of 5 keywords (out of approx 50-60) to optimise pages for on a site. However I don't want to just choose the top 5 if 3 of them are too competitive and not worth targeting. From anyone's experience, for a small, new web company who has no pages optimised at this point, do you think there is a keyword difficulty score that I should create a hard limit on? So for instance, with a group of keywords, to only target keywords that have a difficulty score of 60 or below because anything higher would be too difficult to optimise the pages for in this stage of the sites development. Does the page authority data also considers the on page factors like the presence of keyword in the title,meta text, and keyword frequency ??
The moz difficulty score considers four factors for the top websites. are the on page factors included in the page authority data ?

Why would the SEOMoz Page analysis pick up exact keywords used in page title and text?
Hi, I am trying to optimise this URL : www.adaptiveconsultancy.com/ecommerce/features/advanced-ecommerce with the keyword being 'advanced ecommerce' With the 'On-Page Report Card' from SEOMoz that the exact keyword isn't featured in the page title or text, but it is in there. Best Keyword Ranking Report Tool
What's the best keyword ranking report tool that anyone is using currently? I have used CuteRank (booo), Rank Tracker, SEOBook.com Rank Tracker, etc. Cost isn't an issue - I'm looking for a free or a paid tool. I need to be able to export resutls in PDF and Excel format. Thanks for the feedback!
