The Keyword Difficulty Tool is not working,
-
I have been trying to so some keyword research for the past few hours, but really couldn't research even a single keyword.
Is the Tool working??

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know the keyword difficulty tool is working again. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Bloodyruber,
If you could send a screenshot of the tool not working and not having any error message to our help desk at help@seomoz.org that would be great. We're not aware of any browser combination where the error message is not displaying. There should be a message saying that there is a problem gathering analysis data for your request in the Keyword Difficulty Tool. I'm not sure if we can change the message to reflect specific information about this outage, but the message in general should be there.

Hey Keri,
The proper place to notify users would be in the difficulty tool itself, ie: " The difficulty tool is not working now" in the difficulty tool page. Twitter? Q&A? how many people look at that stuff out of the 100% percent of people entering the difficulty tool page?

Hi Bloodyuber,
We've had a problem with the keyword difficulty tool starting on Friday of last week (lovely timing, as we started on a long holiday weekend with some people having out-of-area vacations planned far in advance). We've made several Twitter status updates about it, responded to questions about it in Q&A, and updated the messaging system within the app itself.
It sounds like we must have missed something, if it seems to you nobody cares. Please let us know where else we can add messaging, and we'll be happy to do so.

it's been a whole week that the difficulty tool is not working. It seems no one cares

The SEO-Tool onpage.org (german) offers an interesting tool to analyse your text. But there are differences between languages and factors like proximities, synonyms etc. What are your experiences? tools? does mOz develop a tool for this? This would be a nice Feature for the On-Page Grader! best regards,

Meaning of Keyword difficulty
Before joining SEOMoz I used to calculate Keyword difficulty with my own method based on keyword density, presence of synonyms, Page rank, title and URL. This seemed to rather well work and I reach 1st page on a fairly regumar basis by picking good difficulty / interest ratio keywords and only onsite optimization. (No link building) I just looked @Keyword analysis in SEOMoz. It seems it is only based on page / site autority. Is this correct? Do you believe keyword and synonym density is irrelevent? Do I need to set back to my home recipe if I want to include keyword analysis in my difficulty assessment ? Thx

Bulk OSE Open Site Explorer Tool?
I am trying to do some spring cleaning for a client and hoping to prune any unnecessary domains. Is there a tool that will check, in bulk, these domains through Open Site Explorer? I've looked through all the different Excel spread sheet apps and google doc apps but they are incredibly buggy if they work at all since SEOmoz changed their data limits. Maybe a new tool has been updated in the last few months that I am not aware of. Thanks!

On Page missing keywords
I setup my keywords on SEOMoz properly but the On Page result just shows me 2 keywords instead of the 7 that I set for my campaign. I was expecting the application to score the other keywords on wednesday but it did not add the missing keywords. Is this a bug?

Quick Keyword Difficulty Question
Hello good people. Quick question about the Keyword Difficulty Tool (which is great by the way). I am wondering specifically about the "keyword difficulty score" If I were to type in "blue widget," the tool returns a diffiiculty score of 51%. "red widget" on the other had returns a score of 40%. My question is how much more difficult is the term, "blue widget" when compared to "red widget?" 20% harder? more, less? I just don't know. I'm sure the info is somewhere on the seomoz site, but I have searched high and low and cannot find it. Thanks a lot, Joe
