SEO for bigcommerce site

I have a site on bigcommerce platform .from Where do i need start SEO for these types of ecommerce sites.Looking for Experts ideas . Thank you.

Sure.
It is fairly simple Chandana. Much like marketing yourself offline, you need to establish valuable contacts and relationships within your professional industry. The same goes for the web. Search engines derive authority from links, citations, likes, tweets and any measurable metric they can tally. However, links are still the most important.
Showing Google your companies digital footprint (or web presence) is vast, robust and mentioned on sites they trust will actually make a site with GOOD on-site SEO very powerful. Without that, you'll only see a handful of your pages indexed and served in positions of prominence.
If link building truly is a priority, I would look up Garrett French and read his articles, look at his tools and the Ontolo link building book.

Thank you "driving authority to the domain" can u explain about this plz
-
Here's what you need to know:
- Big sites require domain authority or scalable long-tail strategies.
- You must always focus on driving authority to the domain.
- Build links. Lots of links. Diversify the link profile.
Don't believe me? Look at how many search-results pages walmart.com has ranking now across all their verticals. Sure, on-site is very important but driving authority to the domain is something that NEEDS to happen and can take months to process, let alone, facilitate the link building campaigns.
Linking Strategies:
- Outreach campaigns.
- Linkbait.
- Linkable assets.

The biggest compliance issue with most large ecommerce sites is product pages creating tons of duplicate and often empty pages with little or no content and often just product info repeated on multiple pages. Rel next, canonical, noindex metas, and adding content are all issues needing to be configured properly. In addition, quite often duplicate and untargeted title and meta tags is also a big issue with very large sites with autogenerated pages.

Entities and SEO
How do you find the correct words (entities) to explain an entity ? The words (entities) that go together within a sentence seem to be based on the specific corpus (the keyword you want to rank ) and when they are million of results it seems impossible to find what word / entity is going to explain the entity / concept I want to explain. It seems that I got a better chance at the lottery 🙂 a

Entire site code copied - potential SEO issues?
Hi folks, We have noticed that our site has been directly duplicated by another site. They have copied the entire code, including the JS, CSS and most of the HTML and have simply switched their own text and images onto the template. (We discovered it because they even copied over our analytics tracking and were appearing in our reports - duh!) Does anyone know if there are potential SEO issues in copying the code like that, or do duplicate content issues only apply to indexable HTML content? Thanks! Matthew (I didn't want to out them by sharing their URL because it could have been an external contractor that built the site and they probably had no idea.)

Suggestions for a SEO Review
I think it would be beneficial to have a third party seo review of the network of sites my team and I manage and was wondering if any of you had suggestions for what sort of tests should be done or that we should expect to see done during one of these reviews. We are a small team who has varying seo experience and have been working hard to make improvements to our sites in the past year. Most of our sites have been completely overhauled in the last 12-16 months and seo work that had not been done in the past has been setup, along with some corrections that may have been harming seo. We believe we are on the right track and have learned a good amount about seo in that time, but it would be nice to have some "expert" feedback outside of our office to get a clearer picture on anything we may be missing or some suggested improvements. A sort of double check on the work we have done.

We ave a prospect client that wants to start doing SEO for his Shopify site, we are unsure if this will be SEO friendly. Will we have enough control to get great placement? Are we better off rebuilding the site for the client in an OpenCart?

SEO - What Should We Do...
Hi Guys, Hope your all OK. Were having major problems with our homepage ranking for our main keyword - we were originally 4 but over the Christmas period our SEO company reported a fault with one of there servers that they were using for links, because of this fault these links were de-indexed from the search engine and in turn we have plummeted to 10th... At the time we had a landing page with an exact match keyword in it, e.g: www.ourdomainname.co.uk/key-word/ we were told to 301 this to our main page in Google but when we have looked today its now showing this page instead of our homepage. We also have another domain that we are using for a forum at the moment, now this domain name is an exact match doming e.g www.keyword.co.uk. The question is do we gamble and 301 our whole site to www.keyword.co.uk and see if we can get this ranking better? Thanks, Scott
