Hi Mozez!
I signed up for Social Monkee a while back and used it in bits and pieces to promote blog content. About 1 year ago I use to get great results with this tool.
Just wondering what your thoughts are on a program like this to gain social bookmarking links, in the current state of search.
Thanks in advanced.
Regards,
Michael

_First of all I would like to know why want to get your website bookmarked in social bookmarking sites. Unless there is a greater possibility of gaining some visitors, I do not think it is worth your time. Do not chase the algo, rather chase the visitors. _

I'm sorry Michael, this is all bad news. The introductory video emphasizes multiple IP addresses, spinning pieces, etc. Keep in mind that the vast majority of social backlinks are not dofollow. I think it's one of those each time there is a new service they provide dofollow while they are gaining steam but eventually cut that off.
The price is what $7? For 750 backlinks a month? That's a huge no-no.
If you are looking for a legitimate service to help with your social bookmarking I suggest OnlyWire. That service is a bit more expensive, will require you to create legitimate social media profiles for all your feeds and if you are smart...you should check in with those profiles once a month or so just to keep up appearances.
Backlinks beyond the low hanging fruit like directories and comments are difficult to get. That's why places that sell "quality" backlinks are scams.
Let me clarify - this is a black hat service. No doubt. Unless you have the knowledge to keep up with black hat maneuvers I would avoid this service.

Do links on Reference.com and Ask.com count as backlinks?
Hi there Just had a quick question about links on Reference.com or Ask.com. I have been looking at my competitors link profiles to get ideas of who and where I should/could be linking from. One of my main competitors seems to have links on Reference.com and Ask.com which are being listed in there profile. Reference.com are dofollow. Our site is also appearing on these sites, but the links are being listed under our profile. We have been up and running for more that 3 years now. The obviously have high DR and I think must be a contributing factor to their rank, having looked at other links in their profile. It seems strange because I thought these sites are effectively search engines and therefore wouldn't count towards your backlink profile? Can anyone explain? Would be most grateful if someone can. Many thanks in advance. Clojo

Should i disavow yellowpages.com. Webmater tools shows 656 links coming from it.
We do not have any manual penalty warnings but I am still concerned that Google will see this as unnatural and be penalizing us to a lesser degree.

Linksmanagement.com anyone use it?
linksmanagement.com anyone use it? I have seen reviews up and down just wondering if they are safe. Seems pretty simple you pay for the sites you want to be on. I assume the fees are monthly.

Are there any services similar to pingler.com
Hi, i always used pingler.com to drive traffic to my sites but for some reason in the past couple of weeks i cannot get onto the site, i think there could be something wrong with my ip address, not sure. I have spoken to virgin nearly everyday and all i get off them is to turn off my internet for one week to get a new ip address and see if that works, now there is no way i can turn the internet off for one week. So i am now trying to find another service as good as pingler.com as i cannot see anyway of getting this problem sorted unless if someone has any ideas. I would like to know if anyone uses services that offers what pingler.com offers and if they could please list them here many thanks

Are you using ArticleBase.com for link building?
I'm digging my way through my competitors' link profiles on OSE and came across one that had been using a site called ArticleBase.com Apparently you can publish articles for free and browse other published articles for usage on your own site (provided you follow their TOS). It actually seems like a nifty idea. I'm wondering if anyone has utilized this site for re-publishing content and building external links. Worth the effort? Thanks!

Etsy.com --Getting link juice through other pages on search results?
My sister has a store page on etsy.com where she sells home made crafts. And I want to help her rank higher on google with some of the other etsy stores. So i started to look at the other etsy store pages that are ranking well on google and found that they have a page authority between 48 to 52. So i looked at the backlinks of the ones ranking well on google with high page authority and found that many of their best links came from the internal search results page on etsy.com, and some only had one link from just an arbitrary etsy.com search page. I'm thinking this is because another product being listed on the seach page has a high page authority which then passes some of its link juice onto every other product on the page. But what is interesting is products are always being sold or getting added so even though you are on a search results page that happens to benifit from the link juice of another product the next time the page gets crawled you will be on a different search page. So i am thinking in order to maintain high page authority to you just have to have a lot of products listed so that there is a greater likely hood that you will find yourself on the same search page as another high authority page. I have not been doing SEO very long so i would love to hear what others think. I really have no idea, am i on the right track with this? (edited post) Thanks

How do paid directories like thomasnet.com do so well in the serps? Aren't the Panda updates supposed to be moving us away from this?
With all of the updates/changes to Google's algo, I assumed that paid listings & links like those on thomasnet.com would have less merit. Is this an incorrect assumption?
