Backlink Lists
-
I am trying to create a valid list of backlink domain to disavow after a 50% traffic cut by Penguin......problem is I have now pulled lists from 4 tool and the lists are all different. I find a toxic domain from the tool run on LinkResearchTools and look on Google and Site Explorer and the toxic link does not even show. I look at the page and sure enough the link from year ago on a link farm is there.
Is there really a rue definitive tool that will give me a list of all links? Better yet is there a tool that will help me evaluate which domain to disavow ? I want to follow Dr. Pete's advice and go slow but I am also anxious to cut ties with SEO work done by someone else in the hay day of link farm SEO and frankly looking at resent links some Bad SEO by competitors.

Thanks for the reply. I gathered from additional resources that there is no one site. Nor any tool that properly evaluates them as spam sites so I guess I am rolling up my sleves to get the work done.
There are some obvious site I need to diavow so I will start with them. I have not read about how you resubmit disavow but I guess you just add to the list and send it again. I will try to make this first pass rather comprehensive.
I did read about another post which seems to indicate that one you have your list there is a tool to help you evalute the sites.

Hi John,
The tools you desire do not exist. Even worse news, they probably never will.
Each producer of crawl data is independent of the others. Google, Bing, Majestic, Open Site Explorer and AHREFs are the 5 major crawl tools on the market. There are others such as the one you mentioned. Each tool uses different techniques to crawl the trillions of web pages.
The best solution for site owners would be if Google was willing to share all their link data, but that seems unlikely to happen. When working with clients who are penalized for manipulative links or impacted by Penguin, I pull data from all the mentioned sources and combine them into one report. By using this method, you can obtain the most comprehensive backlink report possible.
With respect to using a tool to automatically identify manipulative vs organic links, it is my strong opinion there is not any tool on the market which comes reasonably close to achieving this goal. All tools I have investigated both miss a significant amount of manipulative links, and also classify a significant amount of organic links as manipulative.
For every client I have worked with, a trained human has visited each and every site to make a determination as to whether each domain offers organic or manipulative links. In my experience, that is the only way to remove a manual penalty. If you are affected by Penguin, then you may get away with some shortcuts, but you are at serious risk of being hit hard by Penguin again during the next update.

What are the SEO value of revolving or rotating lists of links?
What are the SEO value of revolving or rotating lists of links? For example the links at the bottom of the homepage of inlandnwopera.com. The links are based in images and I am not really sure Google would pick them up but they do appear on ahrefs.com. Thank you.

Sudden spike in backlinks - should we disavow?
A kitchen remodelling firm in Australia has noticed a big increase in spammy backlinks to their website since April this year. Majestic shows that referring domains and backlinks during that period have gone up from 400 domains (10,000 links) to 1,070 domains (47,000+ links). About 100 are sitewide links. The vast majority are "follow" links directed at image files on the site - ending in .jpg. Ahrefs now shows the number one anchor text (23%) is a period (full stop) "." Most of the links come from .us domains, eg: cowboysr.us

alldpic.com Google Search Console isn't showing any of these links, there's no penalty on the site and there's been no noticeable change in rankings (if anything organic clicks went up over May, June, July) ... so we're wondering what action - if any - should be taken. Are these links likely to have a negative impact on the site and homepage? Should we disavow these links? Appreciate any advice. Thanks.0 -
Looking for a dedicated Backlinks/Disavow Platform
Hi Guys, Can anyone recommend a good backlinks program. One which is able to detect spammy backlinks and which has a disavow feature. I've tried Monitor Backlinks, Would appreciate any further suggestions. Priorities are ability to monitor new links and their value, loss of links, link opportunities, with the ability to create recommended opportunity lists and disavow files - ideal if can be used in some way for client reporting also - dashboard or pdf etc. Help with access to contract link builders (perhaps star rated for quality and efficacy) to go after the opportunity lists also a bonus etc. Basically what are people using out there and really liking!? NB: we use moz for some stuff and have a mix of other tools available but nothing seems to be really nailing this for us. Thanks!!

Youtube Backlink
We've had our Youtube Channel fairly optimized for several months now. Part of that effort includes the link back to our site which is allowed on Youtube. When doing link research I see Youtube links being given credit to competitors but haven't seen Youtube show up in backlinks reports for our site yet. Is there any way to speed this up? Our Youtube page with the link has been indexed and a cached version of the page is in Google's SERPs. If there are any tricks to getting this going that anyone is aware of I'd like to hear it. *The link on Youtube returns a 200 and is followable. I'm using the SEOMOZ tool and Open Site Explorer to do backlinking research.

Anyone have a list of paid directories?
I want to get into some good paid directories, but every list I have found out there is either just a top ten and repeats the same ones or is a list of 500 where I know most are worthless. Has anyone submitted to paid directories that has a list of good ones that are actually worth submitting to?
