Got a new improved dedicated server but something is not right

Hi, i have bought a new and improved dedicated server but something is not right. The first two days it was fast, but now i am having trouble doing tests on it using

gtmetrix is having trouble accessing the site and when it does it comes up with 14 seconds and more.

everytime i contact the hosting company about it they say it is running fast and they do not see a problem but refuse to look at the history of this tool.
can anyone please let me know if my computer could be causing these problems or is it my hosting company that is at fault.

Thanks for that. i have notified them and it is running faster, so i will keep an eye on it. one of my major problems at the moment in the speed tool is it keeps coming up with Specify image dimensions which i have done in my joomla website and it also comes up with Optimize images, which i do as i use photoshop so i am a bit puzzled why it is saying these two things. But i am happy the speed is faster now after getting a new server, will keep testing it over the next few days.

It's loading up fast for me as well. The gtmetrix report now gives it a "B" grade with a page load time of 1.51 seconds which is pretty good.

something is definitely not right.I think your DNS is not configured correctly, get your admin to check that it is resolving to the correct IP address. This probably changed where you moved to the dedicated server.

It loads quickly when I just checked it. Slow load times could be due to lots of things - have you had a look what Google Analytics says about your page load times out of interest?
Content > Site Speed > Overview
Have a look what the average reported is after setting it to the time period your new server has been live. How does this differ from your old servers average?

How can I Improve Loading Speed? - Parker Dubrule Lawyers
Parker Dubrule Lawyers' website at parkerdubrulelawyers.com seemed to be loading quite slow this morning (>5 Seconds). I added a lazyload plugin, minified JS and CSS, and ensured that the images were optimized---all of this seemed to help and brough it down to under 2 seconds. We are looking at more reliable hosting options for our clients---ones that are inherently faster possibly without these plugins being added to the mix. Does anyone have insight on a safe, secure, and fast hosting/server option to enhance the experience from the get go? All of the websites that we build are in Worpress. Your help is much appreciated! Updating product pages with new images - should I redirect old images ?

We have approx 900 products on our website. Over the coming months we will be replacing the product images. At the moment they have file names like 'green_widget_54eb3a78620be.jpg'
the random jumble at the end of the filename was apparently to keep file names unique. We have removed the jumble part and will have file names like:
'black_widget_with_stripe_001.jpg' The CMS removes the old main image when a new main image is uploaded. But we could change this to leave the old image, but not use it. My question is should we: redirect the old file name to the new file name? upload the new image, and leave the old image in place Or do we just ignore.0 -

b) The Service Provider Page The Listing pages have very valuable H1 Titles, but everything else is duplicate content. To capture those keywords currently in H1, we have created a different landing page for each category page, and we`ll optimize around that, so these H1s are not that big of a deal any more. These landing pages are the key to our SEO strategy and we are building new content every day to help them rank I want to make the Listing Pages No Index Follow. This way they pass Juice to Jobs, and Profiles which have unique contents, but are not indexed themselves. Is this a bad idea? I have been thinking about doing this for over a year but it never felt important enough to be worth the risk of accidentally screwing up We `ll soon do a new on page flow optimization and that's why I am considering this again. Redirect to new domain.... (which is penalised)
Hey - how's things? I have a client who wants to redirect his main domain to a new one.... there are a couple of problems I see and thought I'd ask on moz. 1 - The new domain has been incorrectly parked on the old domain with no redirection in place... when you do "site:domain.com" in Google, there are no serps for the new domain (the old domain still ranks well), it doesn't seem to rank anywhere and doesn't return any results in OSE. Is it wise to redirect to this domain or will rankings drop on both? 2 - The new domain uses .mobi as its suffix and will be replacing a .com - but is much more related to the business keyword wise. Is using mobi a problem. Overall the SEO on the site is abysmal and I will be reworking everything - so there will be lots of changes going on at the same time. I'm just wondering if it is worth redirecting the new domain at all, or trying to get brand new domain and use that.... or just to stick with the original aged domain... I think that is my only concerns at the moment
