Dynamic numbers in meta title - can it harm SEO?
-
We are creating an online shop with thousands of products. And i want to put total product number in index title, each day/week it will increase.
This would be interesting for visitors to see. But would be it be good for SEO?
For example title: "Brand - Buy Toys Online, We Have More Than 10659".
-
Or you could do
<title>Red Tonka Firetruck | 10659 Toys In Stock</title>
The important thing is the uniqueness of each, the 1st part needs to be the primary focus of the page, and you want to communicate "this page really is about the topic you searched for"...
-
To answer your question, this is a good way to ensure unique title tags across a very large site so yes you can definitely do it.
To clarify what Alan was saying, you don't want a bunch of title tags like this
<title>"Brand - Buy Toys Online, We Have More Than 10659"</title>
<title>"Brand - Buy Toys Online, We Have More Than 20365"</title>
<title>"Brand - Buy Toys Online, We Have More Than 18818"</title>
you want something more like this for example (although you might add category or something after the name of the toy
<title>"Red Tonka Firetruck | 10659"</title>
<title>Darth Vader 16" Plush Toy | 17759"</title>
<title>Justin Beiber Dress Up Figurine | 32666"</title>
-
At the bottom of index it will show "total products XX" and person can press on last page to check. So it should be related..
-
it won't hurt SEO, generally speaking. Beware though that page titles need to be unique to every page, and should really represent what that page is about. So if a broad statement like you just described doesn't really represent the page's topical focus, Google will just as likely ignore your title and replace it with one their system comes up with anyhow.

Incorrect Spelling Indexed In Meta Info - Can't Change It
Hi,It would be great if a member of the community could help me to resolve this issue.Google is indexing an incorrect spelling on of our key pages and we can't identify the reason why.- The page in question: https://newbridgesilverware.com/jewelleryAs you can see from the attached image, the Meta Title is rendered to contain the keyword "jewelry" (the American spelling.) We want this to read as "jewellery" - the British-English spelling. Yet in the page source the word is given in the meta title as "jewellery". Nowhere in the page source or on the page itself does the American spelling appear - yet Google still renders it in the Meta Title. Can anyone identify why this is happening and offer any possible solutions?Much appreciatedDhqJp

Onsite SEO vs Offsite SEO
Hey I know the importance of both onsite & offsite, primarily with regard to outreach/content/social. One thing I am trying to determine at the moment, is how much do I invest in offsite. My current focus is to improve our onpage content on product pages, which is taking some time as we have a small team. But I also know our backlinks need to improve. I'm just struggling on where to spend my time. Finish the onsite stuff by section first, or try to do a bit of both onsite/offsite at the same time?

Google News and Meta Title
Hi,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | JohnPalmer
1. I just read this article: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-news-titles-h1-19876.html
Google want the same title. no problem. but what about the brand? for example
POST TITLE BLA BLU | My Brand
The "post title bla blu" is the H1 and title of the article and | My Brand is my brand...
I can keep it as is with the My brand? or remove it? what about posts with long title for example "POST TITLE BLA BLU POST TITLE BLA BLU | My Brand"
What is you suggestion, I know Google doesn't show all the text and we'll see "...". it's still important to write the brand name in the title or just the post title? (without the brand). Thanks,0 -
Duplicated Meta Descriptions on Dynamic Paginated Pages
If the title didn't put you off please read on! 🙂 According to our latest Moz Crawl Report we have circa 700 instances of duplicate Meta Description on pages that are both dynamically created and also paginated, however, I believe that number to be greater! We are unable to manual make changes to these pages (because they are dynamic) and so we need ask our web devs to create a change in how the Meta is created... If I am not making myself clear (and there is a good chance that I'm not!) then here is an example of what I mean; http://www.bolsovercruiseclub.com/cruise-deals/silversea-cruise-deals/ There are 92 pages of cruise deals for this particular operator with the results of each page having the option to sort by 4 categories; Recommended Cruise Price Sail Date Best Value 4 x 92 = 368 instances just for this one operator! The current Meta Desc is; A selection of the best Silversea cruise deals taking in over 800 destinations across all 7 continents. ...which isn't great I know! The problem is how to make each page (in each category) unique If any of you have incurred anything similar and have any kind of solution or recommendation then please respond - I would be most grateful! What next with SEO
I've been working on my site for over 2 years and have some very good links and now have a PageRank 4. My site has fallen down from page 1 to page 4 for 'Web Design London' which may be due to not putting much work into link building in the last 6 months. The site is pretty well optimised onsite but there are less that 20 pages of content. With time constraints in place because I have to run the business, would it be better to increase the content, seek out more links or outsource the work. Ideally I would do both but money and time restrict this. If I was to outsource, do you have recommendations and rough prices? Thanks
