I keep sending personal emails to website asking for a link form them but every one says no
how do other website get so many links to there website
whats the best software to use
-
Hi,
The reality is that some of these links will have been paid for (in the form of ads, advertorials, etc).
Other ways to obtain "quick links":
- Contact webmasters (of relevant websites) where you spot broken links. Kindly mention this and ask them to include a link to your website... they might be more willing since you helped them spot some broken links.
- Do some Blog post commenting on relevant Blogs.
- Add your site to some directories.
Obviously non of the above is very clever and as mentioned before it would be more beneficial to develop a content strategy and start earning links, but in order to get things moving quickly it could help you a little already?
As to software, I do like Buzzstream I must admit because it allows you to manage your outreach campaigns more efficiently.
Cheers

If you don't know the difference between 'their' and 'there' then I doubt that you are capable of creating the sort of content that will get links from worthwhile places.
If your business can support it get a good company to help you. If your business can't support it then consider dropping it and finding out what you're good at. Don't waste another second of your life.
The internet is 99.9% rubbish and the current trend is to reward the 0.1%.

Instead of asking for something, stand out from the crowed and GIVE them something.
Link to them in one of your posts, share something of there's on your FB profile, engage on their forums and add value to the conversations.
Helping someone without asking for anything in return is a great way to build a lasting relationship. In time, they will link to you without you even having to ask, even if you ask, at least you wont be another random in their email inbox. After engaging with them, at least they would know who you are and might respond positively to your emails.
Just remember, its not about "building" links anymore. Its about earning them!

Link building - unique root domains
Hi there, I was wondering when asking for a link, does where on this page it is? For example will someone's high traffic website (e.g. example.com ) provide more page authority than another link on this site ( e.g. example.com/blog ). If this is the case, is it best to get links from multiple pages if possible or will this not effect SEO? Thanks

Is it time to pay for link building?
I've been using the Moz tools for a while now and love them. Our SEO efforts are certainly paying off as we're ranking well for a lot of our desired keywords. That being said, I'm finding link building to be a very frustrating process. As much as I like to be hands on and try to do everything, I'm wondering when it's time to "throw in the towel" and hire someone? Is there anyone else who might have gone through a similar evolution? I'd love to hear some other stories about how or why you decided to hire out your link building. I'd like to think that whatever we spend on link building could likely reduce our reliance on AdWords, although I'm not sure how this would really play out over time.

Local Link Building help!
Hi All, Looking for some help with where to begin link building for local small businesses. If the website is leading to a lawyer, doctor, or any type of professional service, I'm at a loss on where to start. I've tried looking into local directories, and I also know that if one of the clients has a reason for being linked in an online news article, those links should be pursued. Additionally, I've gone and helped to claim all local listings, and submitted to DMOZ and a few other directories. So if the website is just leading to a business that isn't running any events or specials worth writing about, what is the best way to acquire links? Thank you! Tyler

Do you stop link building once you have your desired rank?
So with all these updates hitting sites left, right and center. Now you have your desired rank on Google, do you stop link building for that project? I can see some positives in this You will not add links that will get hit by future updates. If you do get hit in future updates you have less links to remove. Obviously it an outstanding link came along from BBC or CNN you would go for that. But press releases etc would you now stop anything like that?

Links I am not Building?
Hi All, I check webmaster multiple times on a daily basis, and I noticed some links that I have not worked on and look a bit spammy, is it possible for people to purposely pont bad links in my direction? If that is the case is there a way for me to remove them myself? Also the number of total backlinks are very different in Webmaster and my Open Site Explorer, is this normal? Thanks again !

Multiple link building strategy for multiple clients
We deal with about 200 clients for a series of websites. We create a number of articles articles per site per month. A company we used to do link building for the websites it turns out were doing a lot of spinning which has been hard hit by the new penguin update. I'm actually really happy about it as it means we can now do some legitimate SEO on their sites. Any ideas of what the best strategy would be for this amount of sites which we are already creating shareable content for?

What's the typical response time to link building email requests?
Hello Forum, We're about to embark on a link building campaign and were curious about how long, on average, it takes to get a response to an email requesting links to our page. We're trying to come up with a timeline estimate for our campaign. Thanks
