Competitive Domain Analysis.. Can anyone explain this

As you can see from the following 3 images below that 3 out of 4 companies have declined in Domain Authority however one has managed to actually increase and stay up. Can anyone explain how this may be for the company that has stayed up has lost total external followed link and has only increased linking C-block domains by 1

Before you invest in a product you could get some information.
Lots of people post generic description of products / services here and members will provide their opinions about them. We will tell you if the box is full of crap or gold.

But if that was the case why spent money each month on a product was is then to be considered useless every month as i am to only check it every 4-5 months?
Like i get your point of guessing the weight of the box but each person that holds that box will have a better estimate of the weight yes? So in the same way each site will have a better estimate of DA?

I think that domain authority is something that you might check (for your own sites) about once every six months and feel good if the number is going up.
I think that looking at the domain authority of potential competitors might be a useful thing to do if you are considering a new area of competition and want to get some idea about how much mojo is over there.
But, really... its kind of like picking up a box and guessing the weight. Its about that kind of accuracy. That kind of metric has value but I don't think that it is a good use of your time to be checking it, plotting it, worrying about it.
Spend time working on your website to make it a lot better and domain authority will take care of itself. I can't tell you the DA of my sites. I look at it as stated above.

So basically what your saying is that it is no big deal if any of the companies have decreased that it is an ongoing part of SEO as it will often fluxuate in line with the Google Algorithm?

Automatically Check List of Sites For Links To Specific Domain
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a tool that will allow me to put in a list of about 200 domains that are then checked for a link back to a specific domain? I know I can do various link searches and use Google site: command on a site by site basis, but it would be much quicker if there was a tool that could take the list of domains I am expecting a link on and then find if that link exists and if so on what page etc. Hope this makes sense otherwise I have to spend a day doing it by hand - not fun! Competitive Analysis Problem
I just discovered that, for my competitive analysis, it is set to judge my naked domain instead of www. My rel="canonical" is set to point to www., thus, www. has a much higher domain authority than my naked domain. However, I don;t want to lose all of the history I have accumulated over the years for this domain. How to I make it so SEOmoz matches against www. instead of my naked domain? Which is wiser to gauge by?

Competitive Link Analysis Tool?
Hi, I ran a competitive link analysis report today and back came quite a few domains that 2 or more of my 5 main competitors link from. Is it worth me submitting links to these sites? And would i be best served submitting my homepage URL or submitting a brand page such as Creative Recreation Trainers? I want to target that brand but don't want to do it if my main URL is better? Why is the linking root domains count not increasing
For the last month I have been tracking my backlinks thru open site explorer. Over the same period I have gone on a minor link building exercise via social media, some directories as well as writing fresh new content for the site. However, my backlink count has increased in the Rank Tracker tool but my root linking domains have remain at the same level. Is there a lag or is this because some of these site are not in the open site index? To be specific - I have personally setup follow links from sites like tumblr, posterous, stumbleUpon, delicious and other like these. Would really like to understand the limitations so I can take the appropriate action. Thanks

How can I get ranking keys of competitors
Sometimes it might be clever to analyse the stategy of a competitor to see with which keys they rank successfully. For example I have a webshop, so I type in amazon.com and seomoz spits out: books, dvds, ... I can now see with what keys i wont have a chance and can think of missing keys where my chance might be. Is there a possibility to find out with seomoz?

Can SEOMOZ do Local SEO ?
Most of our clients are local but we can not get local or regional (for example VA State or Washington DC) SERP results within SEOMOZ. it would be nice to create custom search profiles based on region (State or County) and track SERP within SEOMOZ. Ranking reports and even keyword difficulty analysis etc. within SEOMOZ are misleading for local web sites. SEOMOZ default site setup assumes every business doing SEO serves all over the US. I think it will be very beneficial if we have a choice to select State or County of local web sites during initial campaing set up at SEOMOZ. what do you think? do you know any work around of this problem? Newly acquired links not showing up on link analysis
I have recently gained a few links which I know are definitly up, because I have seen them, however, when I navigate to link analysis on SEOmoz pro, the number of links isnt showing as more than before. How long does it take to update?
