Pr4 domain backlink from a blog post
-
I'm about to do a guest blog post on a pr4 domain. Will I be getting an actual pr4 backlink? I'm thinking since it's technically not going to be on the homepage forever since it's just a blog post and also a blog post has it's on page once you click on it I'm not going to get a pr4 backlink. Correct?

No problems Stewart happy to help.
Yes that would be the case, as long as they aren't "SPAMMY" websites or those blogs selling links then of course it is safe to do so. That is link-building!
Also be sure to not over target anchor phrasing, make it as valuable for the people reading the information as possible and you have a sustainable SEO strategy.

Thanks for the quick response Michael.
I have a couple pr2-pr3 sites. If I make a blog post that has backlinks in them and I have it sticky so it stays on the homepage. Would I be getting the pr link juice? and also is it safe to do?
Thanks!

Hi Stewart,
Completely depends on the way the blog is setup. Some post your entire article on the homepage, some just a snippet. If as you say it is the entire homepage, you will have the PR4 backlink for "x" amount of time.
From there it will be archived and you can check the PR of individual archive pages to get an idea of what PR they are, the domain and page authority for an indication of what you are getting in the long run.

How to remove backlinks?
Hey guys, With all this anti over optimization movement going around with Google, I decided to do a link building profile audit. I see some pages with PR 0 and some pages that expired. My websites are not penalized at this moment, however I do want to avoid this at all costs. What can I do? Could a backlink from an expired domain penalize my site?

Why Post Useless Blog Comments
I notice that I'm getting a lot of spammy blog comments on a personal interest site. Why would someone go to all that trouble to get a nofollow link that will most likely not be approved?

Is it worth editing older blog posts for SEO purposes?
The title of the question asks it all. One site I currently work on has a handful of blog posts that rank really well in the SERPS for certain "long-tail" searches. Would it be worth the time to, when I have it, to go back and edit the blogs little by little to help with SEO and building some links throughout the site to get people where we need them to go? Basically "sprucing" up the blog posts to make them more readable, more engaging and help some link building efforts within the domain. Thoughts?
