Rankings confusion in pro campaign
-
Hello Moz-world!
I recently set up a new campaign, and the crawl is still in the process of wrapping up (been 4 days). When I look at my rankings it tells me "not in the top 50" then when I scroll over, it shows me that my client is ranking in position 3, in the instance of one keyword.
Anyone know why there is a discrepancy between what the report shows, and what it shows when you mouse over the rankings?
Thanks!
Tyler

Thanks for getting back to me Peter. I think that my question didn't come out clear, sorry! I've attached an image of the issue I'm seeing.
Basically, SEOMoz gives one ranking, then tells me another when I hover over the local dot. I didn't mean there was a discrepancy between what SEOMoz gives, and what I find when running queries.
Maybe the picture will better demonstrate. Sorry, I removed the names because this is for a client.
Thanks again,
Tyler

Hey Tyler!
Thanks for writing in and sorry that your rankings are looking off in the Web App. I'm not sure why you would be getting different results in the Web App rankings than you would be getting when you run the searches yourself; it could be a lot of things. The search engines - Google, Yahoo! & Bing - all maintain multiple indices that run across multiple datacenters. This means if you query different datacenters, you can get somewhat different ranking results. Other elements, such as personalization, geography and search history (even if you're logged out of your Google/search engine account) can also influence ranking positions. Hence, there can be a lot of variation in what different people, searching from different computers/locations might see in the rankings.
Our solution has been to run searches from a variety of IP addresses and IP blocks using non-personalized, search history/location agnostic requests. In our experience, these have provided the most accurate results, showing what the "most" users see, though we know there's still quite a bit of room for fluctuation. If you have suggestions about how we might improve the technical process of fetching rankings data to get better data, please let us know and we'll pass it on to our engineering team. We're always looking for ways to get you better data.
In the meantime, I can try to see if it's a bug on our side if you can let me know
1. The campaign that is having this issue
2. The keyword and URL combination that is having discrepancies
3. The ranking that you're getting in Google versus what the Web App tells you.Or if you are not comfortable with giving that info out, you can certainly include that in an email with a description of your issue to help@seomoz.org.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
Best,
Peter

White Label Version of Moz Pro?
I may have missed it, but is there a white label option for Moz Pro? I have a few clients that would like to login and have a look at competition, rankings, etc. Perhaps something like WebCEO or MySEOtool?

Import Keywords from 1 campaign to another
Hi There, I've got one campaign set up and just created another in my dashboard. I have roughly 300 keywords added and categorized in campaign 1. I want to export these exact keywords, (and to also remain categorized the same), into campaign 2. How can I do this without having to add each keyword individually and recreating the categories again? Basically, I want to export my keywords/copy/past from one campaign, to another. I don't want to set everything up again. How can I do this? Thanks, Reena.

Can I combine SEOmoz Campaigns.
Basically I am in internal SEO. We subscribe to SEOmoz and we have 5 campaign spots. each with their own allocation of keywords. Ideally I only want to track our site and not 4 other's. I've currently setup the campaign a couple of times with different keywords, but it would be much better if I could choose what allocates to what. I.e. 2 campaign tokens to one site and 3 to another or just 5 to one site. Is this possible, and if not why not?

Is it possible to see rankings on a graph?
Would it be possible to display Ranking data on a graph to show progress over a period of time? It would be great to be able to show a client how a certain keyword has improved over a time period.

Started my first campaign - keyword rankings do not match
Hello, I started my first campaign on SEOmoz and my keword position do not match the results I receive by using google search or by using another SEO program. For example - Ingersoll Watches should be on position 6 on google.com - SEOmoz shows me Ingersoll Watches is on 16. Why does SEOmoz show different results? Thank you for your attention!

Report: keyword difficulty verses SERPS ranking
Hi there, I've been using the PRO tools for a few months now, and find them great for revealing information for my clients, and planning our SEO approach. One report I've put together has been really helpful for a client, but I built it manually and it took ages. It lists, in a spreadsheet, keywords side-by-side with keyword difficulty, target URL, and SERPs result. Sorting by keyword difficulty or SERPS position has helped us to prioritise which pages to hit first. But it took a while to generate the report, and I'm wondering if anyone has a better approach, or if this kind of report can be generated automatically: http://www.cicada-online.com/app/images/documents/product-page-SEO-blank.pdf Thanks Mozzers!

Campaign warnings and recommendations
How crucial is it to follow / fix the campaign warnings. For example, even though our website is ranking well the campaign report is stating that we've too many links on the majority of pages and the title element is too long. My question is if I make changes based on these recommendations, do you think that we will see a dramatic improvement in our rankings ?
