Moz is incorrect
-
So i have had my latest crawl, and the keyword report is showing that using google.co.uk i have some keywords not within the top 50 - i have just done a spot check (coping & pasting) direct from Moz to google.co.uk and out of 4 i have checked 1 keyword i am number 4 and 1 keyword i am page 3 - therefore within the top 50. This leads me to believe that there is something wrong with Moz - here is 1 example "land in the cayman islands" i am showing in moz as not in the top 50 when i am showing on Google as number.4
-
Hey John,
Just wanted to check in and see if you were still seeing any discrepancies with your rankings.
Cheers!
-
Make sure you are not logged into your Google+ account at the time of checking your rankings and also clean your cookies.
-
apologies
I did think for a second after writing "He" maybe I should have said "the person" or "they", but then laziness kicked in
-
Thanks i will do that now.

If you are really sure that there are mistakes in the software then you should probably contact the Moz Technical Support.
If you contact them and together you will find something out let me know what the outcome is.

Hi - I have just tried **&pws=0 **and it is still number 4 - I have also had a few people try and it is number 4 (cashed cleared etc) - i have checked the capitals and everything in Moz to make sure it is exactly the same (i copied and pasted it direct from Moz). I have 72 keywords on this campaign and i have just done a check on all the keywords that are not in the top 50 - Moz states i have 21 out of the 72 not in the top 50 (for co.uk) however my colleague and i just checked and 7 out of the 21 are in the top 50. I have used moz for a long time and i dont question its technology however in this case there are some definite errors.

He's a she! And yes that's what I meant
-
John, did you use an incognito browser where you are not logged in to your Google account?
-
he means when you manuly search google gives you personal results that can be very different to what everyone else gets
so if you search oasis-land.com, the url is :
add &pws=0 to the end of that url
that will give you results with personal results turned off
note: we track .co.uk and have had no problems with moz's tracking
-
No. Add to the end of the search results URL after the results have been returned
This may be useful http://moz.com/blog/face-off-4-ways-to-de-personalize-google
-
Do you want me to add that ending within my moz campaign?
-
Hi - Thank you for your quick response, i got crawled last night and i had the same result (no.4) yesterday day. Thank you
-
Hi,
Don't know what site you have but I get <cite>oasis-land.com </cite>at 4.
Your spot check Google results might be skewed by personalisation. Try adding &pws=0 at the end of the URL and see if results change
-
Make sure that when you are checking your rankings you are using a clean browser without any saved cookies and add &gl=uk to the top of the URL.
If they are still different it's possible that you've gone up in the time between the last ranking check....

Drupal 8 tags and categories cause duplicate content shown in MOZ
Hi all, There is something difficult to trace that is causing duplicate content that is related to categories and tags i.e. https://example.com/contact Associated Pages https://example.com/tags/business https://example.com/taxonomy/term/41 example 2 https://example.com/category/example-category-1 Associated Pages https://example.com/category/occupiers-liability example 3 https://example.com/tags/test https://example.com/tags/test-2 Above two pages display same content (maybe due to similar posts feature) My question here is: Is this caused by Drupal website misconfiguration (or one of its modules) since website uses similar posts feature or it's something else. Duplicate content for example.com/index.php issue has been solved by redirects. Should something similar be done in case of tags / categories? Any discussion / suggestions on that matter are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How are you using Moz Content?
Hey people, I just subscribed for Moz Content and I am wondering how are other professionals using it as a strategy tool. Today I just released a blog post talking about how larger content impacts PA. Not a big deal. I would appreciate some ideas and insights.

Can Moz generate 404 Broken links report in an excel format
Hi all, Hope you are doing good and that all is well at your end. I'm a marketing team member here at Zephyr and I take care of the content side things for the team. I'm reaching out to you this morning in regards to figuring whether any Moz feature can be used for fixing broken links on our website and whether or not it can generate the broken links report which can be exported and saved in a spreadsheet. We are in the middle of cleaning up all the broken links which are currently live on our drupal site and which is why we are in need of a tool that generates the report of all the broken links onto an excel spreadsheet.Once we have the list of broken links set in a spreadsheet, we will work towards fixing those links. Meanwhile, we have also created a 404 error image for our readers who can be directed towards our homepage. Please, let me know if you can help me take care of these below-mentioned requests: 1. Suggest a tool /Moz feature which can generate the site report and list of broken links onto excel/spreadsheet 2. Once I've the list in an excel format, is there an automated way in which we can fix all the broken links which are currently live on our website, instead of manually deleting/unlinking those pages. Truly appreciate your help. Thank you! Is there an automated way in which we can fix all the broken links which are currently live on our website, instead of manually deleting/unlinking those pages.

Moz shows an F grade and 0 keywords on a previously high ranking page - Please help
Hi all, Moz is showing an F grade and 0 keywords across all URL, Title, Meta, H1, Meta and IMG ALT. My page has also dropped from 1st page rankings for numerous pages to 2nd and 3rd page. The page I am talking about is: http://year13.com.au/10-highest-paying-jobs-you-can-get-without-a-degree/ The keywords/phrases we were previously ranking very well for are: High paying jobs in Australia High paying jobs Highest paying jobs you can get with no degree Etc Etc I have also seen reduction in rankings on other keywords/ pages as well. Does anyone know why this might have happened? And what might be happening? Thanks in advance!

Mass Moz Grading
I want to know if there's a workaround to grade my individual pages for multiple keywords in a more efficient manner. Let's say for example (this is an extreme hypothetical) that I'm targeting these keywords: "Red Castles" "Blue Cars" "Green Bottles" on one page. I want to know if there is a way to run three grade reports at once for the single page that they're on with the Moz tools. Thanks a bunch!

GWT data v SEO Moz data
I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I can't find it- Looking through the GWT avg position data v SEOMoz ranking data and Market Samurai data there is a large discrepancy. For one term that we hold #1, and have held for a month or two GWTis showing that the avg position is 180 (and down 30). Any reason you know of why the GWT avg position data would be so out of whack with our SERP's and other data? Thanks.

Different Moz Scores Between Page and Subdomain
The Moz scores for a page-specific website:: www.website.com are different than the subdomain: www.website.com/. www.website.com: Page MozRank: 4.58
Moz Pro | | DanSpeicher
Page MozTrust: 4.9 www.website.com/ Subdomain MozRank: 5.21
Subdomain MozTrust 5.18 Does that have any significance? Should I be routing pages to the " / " version? Thanks, Daniel0
