Is www.domain.com/page the same url as www.domain.com/page/ for Google? (extra slash at end of url)

Dear all,
in open site explorer there is a difference the url's 'www.domain.com/page' and 'www.domain.com/page/' (extra slash at end). There can be different values in pageauthority etc. in the open site explorer tool, but is this also the case for Google?

My favorite article on this subject is Maile Ouye's "To Slash or Not to Slash" in the Official Google Webmaster's blog.
While you might be able to initiate a 301 redirect for the scenario you mentioned: www.domain.com/page/ versus www.domain.com/page , it's worth noting that Maile says:
"If both slash and non-trailing-slash versions contain the same content and each returns 200, you can:.....Rest assured that for your root URL specifically, http://example.com is equivalent to http://example.com/ and can’t be redirected even if you’re Chuck Norris."
Rarely does a Googler state something that clearly.

Trailing slashes are treated as separate pages. Best to stick to one, and configure your .htaccess file so that one 301s to the other:

And it seems that the REAL answer probably is: It's completely down to your own preference.
All I would recommend is that if you do decide to have (www.)example.com**"/" **then make sure whenever you are linking to your website from another website to include the **"/" **at the end.
Always be uniform in how you link to your website. It's the easiest way to avoid mistakes, in my experience!

From what I have noticed, and this is not carved in stone, Google defaults a url with a "/" on the end. Meaning, example.com/page and example.com/page/ are considered the same URL. And if you type example.com/page in Chrome, it will give you the example.com/page/ URL in address bar. However, in Bing, this is not considered the same. In Bing, example.com/page and example.com/page/ or two separate URLs. I hope that helps.

Parked Domains and Local SEO
Hi, I wanted to know what your thoughts were on **Parked Domains **and Local SEO. I came across a company that has a lot of parked domains that were created for different countries. i.e. xxxxx.co.uk, xxxxx.ch, xxxxx.com etc. The content they load are from the main domain xxxxx.com I went to a country specific Google search, for instance google.co.uk and google.ch Searched for the company name and xxxxx.com showed up, not the parked domains that existed for each "country" No analytics exist as the tracking code is on xxxxx.com so I can't see if any specific traffic goes to xxxxx.ch, or other domains. From my understand, parked domains lead to unnecessary duplicate content. So why have them? Simply setup a redirect to xxxxx.com from the parked domain. But are there benefits for Local SEO? Search engines like google will still see the domain as a separate entity if no redirect is in place. If so, I realise content has to be unique..but it raises a question... Why have parked domains at all apart from stopping your competitors or users typing other variance of your URL? What do you guys think?

Comparing Domain Authority Scores
Since your scale (like PageRank) is a logarithmic scale, it makes it hard to judge the distance between 2 scores. Can you give me a rule of thumb. For PageRank, each jump is an exponential jump - so that a PR6 is perhaps 10 times stronger than a PR5. What is the log base that SEOMoz uses. Should I assume that a 60 is 10 times stronger than a 50? This is important when it comes to measuring progress because growth is going to get more difficult as you move up the scale and I need to communicate the distance between our current Authority score and our goal. Why is my domain not being crawled anymore?
I just noticed that right around 12/1/2012, SEOMoz stopped crawling all but two pages out of the 400 or so on my website at www.TrustworthyCare.com . I speculate that this is probably due to some dumb mistake I made at that time, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that mistake was. Before that, the weekly crawls included all 400 or so pages. I wonder whether it's something that changed in our .htaccess file. Here's how that file looks now; can anyone see what is wrong there, or perhaps offer other suggestions if it doesn't look like anything is wrong in it? Thanks! Can someone explain why I have been seeing an increase in the number of Linking Page URLs in OSE that link directly to downloads?
Ever since the last couple Linkscape updates when doing competitive back link analysis I have noticed a large increase in the number of URLs of Linking Pages in OSE that result in an immediate file download. The majority of the time these downloads are not common files ie PDF, DOC files. For example, these were all in a competitors back link profile: http://download.unesp.br/linux/debian/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp-relay-dbg_4.1.1-P1-17_ia64.deb http://snow.fmi.fi/data/20090210_eurasia_sd_025grid.mat http://www.rose-hulman.edu/class/me/HTML/ES204_0708_S/working model examples/Le25 mad hatter.wm?a=p&id=145880&g=5&p=sia&date=iso&o=ajgrep These are just a few I came across for a single competitor. Is this sketchy black hat SEO, some sort of error, actual links, or something else? Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.

What do i do when all pages are grade A?
I've used the on page grade and now have all my pages at a grade A for relevant keywords. Most of them are cool, achieveing first page rankings apart from a few massive keywords. So the question is, what's next? What do i do now that I'm at grade A, but perhaps not #1 yet... Cheers -dan
