Our website www.turbocupones.com dropped drastically in ranking today. I have no idea why this happened as we have not outsourced any SEO and sticked to google´s guidelines. Can you please check the web and give me Ideas why this happened? Our traffic dropped by 1000%. All our content is unique. I have years of experience in SEO and never had a problem like this. The rankings dropped drastically for everything. As said all SEO done is white hat.

I believe The site-wide footer links are the problem. Despite being only 4 sites linking to us, they generate thousands of links...
My question now will be how to proceed? I never received such a big penalty for literally 4 dammed image footer links.Should I start from a new domain ? Ask the webmasters to delete those links or no follow them ? use disavow tool?
How much time should I spect for a recovery ?

you have inbound links from only 18 different domains yet you have thousands of links. This is alarming. I'm not sure how you can rank well with such tactics in the first place.
How long had you been ranking well before this happened?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have the word "cupones" in your domain which is Spanish for "coupons" (I imagine, no good at Spanish, just going on assumptions!) so could it be that because your domain is not a geoTLD, Google may not realise that your main keyword is actually not in English?
This isn't factual, this is just suggestive, but maybe try using a .es domain name?

Hi,
It could be a temporary issue, a result of some flux in search results. You may also want to look at
a) any recent developments that you may have done on your website --- in case they have inadvertently resulted in a some problems
b) look in more detail into analytics to see if you can detect some patterns and your Webmaster Tools account for issues with crawling/indexing or links.
In any case, unless you spot some very obvious error, it may be worthwhile to watch over the next few days before taking any 'remedial' actions.

If everything you do is white hat and you have good original content, I wouldn't worry about it YET. Google is constantly messing around and testing. Wait a day or two and see if the problem resolves itself. I had a highly profitable keyword plummet from 1 to 50 in a day and the next day it was back to 1. These things happen.

Dear All, I have personal finance website https://mymoneysouq.com and the traffic dropped by less than half of what is was before last three months. Google Update? Anyone seeing a drastic change in rankings?
Hey everyone, Has anyone seen a drastic change in clients Google Rankings, we have one which has dropped from 9.5% visibility to 5.4% in one month.. It's extremely worrying as I have never seen a drop like this before since I've managed the account, in fact rankings have increased month on month since we took over the account. I've also looked at google, no penalty showing, I've started removing spammy sites who link to us and also added no follow to some of the links on the site which linked out to try and keep some link juice in the site. Anything else I can try / do?

Why isn't www.devonshiredentalcare.co.uk ranking?
Hi, devonshiredentalcare.co.uk was hit badly by one of Google's algorithm updates due to some prior poor seo (by another company). We took this client on and followed all of Google's guidelines and after a lot of work, managed to lift the penalty. It's been almost a year since the penalty was lifted, but it seems to be impossible to get this website ranking for 'Dentist Glasgow', they are currently page 4 in the SERPs! They have 33 Google reviews, we've built good quality links and citations, they have a 'Grade A' for on page optimisation in moz, we are also about to make the website responsive due to the recent mobilegeddon update. Do you have any further suggestions to help get this website ranking? Thanks in advance, Faye

HTTPS sitewide move has resulted in huge rankings drop...
Hi all, An e-commerce site has recently moved protocol to https sitewide. The site ranked page one for some great terms and now appear to be page 2 or below. Brand terms seem unphased and are still very strong, on both Google and Bing. The following has been done; Everything 301'd from http to https Sitemap Edited Updated Webmaster Tools Robots.txt edited Crawled and Fetched all pages daily. Checked Paged are all follow,index. PPC Ads mass updated to new url's. Most terms were ranked 1 - 9 on Bing, and Page 1/2 on Google. HTTPS upgrade was done less than one week ago. The site is not payday loan related, nor was it hit by latest panda escapades. Everything on the site is relevant to the content. Has anybody else been in this position, what else can be done? Rankings for keyword variations dropped over weekend?
One of our clients has seen significant decreases over the weekend for a number of keyword variations. There have been no significant site changes, no crawl errors reported and our competitors don't seem to have been affected. The decrease has coincided with the launch of a display campaign, but surely this is just coincidental? Any thoughts would be appreciated...
